Donald Trump's physician said Friday that he typed a letter on the Republican candidate's health in only five minutes while a limousine sent by the developer waited outside his office in New York City.
"His health is excellent, especially his mental health," Dr. Harold Bornstein, who has been the Republican's physician for 35 years, told NBC News in an interview in his office on Park Avenue in Manhattan.
"I don't think he's in any better or worse than the average person that goes and exercises every single day," he said of Trump, who is 70. "Doesn't smoke, doesn't drink — and that's simply the best advantage you can have to live — and he's got a good family history."
Bornstein, who is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, added that he stood by his resounding assessment of Trump's physical state that was released in December.
"If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency," Bornstein wrote.
"I like that sentence to be quite honest with you — and all the rest of them are either sick or dead," Bornstein said, referring to previous occupants of the Oval Office.

Baltimore Streams Showing Evidence Of Drugs
Gwynns Falls in Baltimore has a drug problem.
WBAL-TV 11 reports that researchers found amphetamines, opioids and morphine in the water, and that kind of pollution is having an impact on the aquatic food chain.
Most people wonder how drugs get into streams. Scientists believe the root of the problem is Baltimore's failing sewage system.
The water at Gwynns Run at Carroll Park is contaminated with caffeine, amphetamines, opioids and morphine. Scientists working with the Cary Institute of Ecosystems Studies sampled six streams in the Gwynns Falls and Oregon Ridge Watersheds.

Lt. Gen. Flynn: Terror-Linked Nations ‘Cutting Deals’ with Mexican Cartels to Enter U.S.
Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, the former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), tells Breitbart News Daily on SiriusXM that countries that are known to support radical Islamic terrorism are “cutting deals” with Mexican cartels for access to human smuggling routes into the United States.
Citing photos from the U.S. Border Patrol component of the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency on Friday, Gen. Flynn also told Washington Political Editor Matthew Boyle, host of Breitbart News Daily, that there are signs in Arabic posted along human smuggling routes at the section of the border that lies in Texas providing directions for how to sneak into the United States.
Moreover, the former DIA chief said that the Shiite Lebanese narco-terrorist group Hezbollah, an Iranian proxy, is illegally trafficking humans, drugs, and other contraband into the United States.
His comments echo recent warnings from the U.S. military, suggesting that criminal groups in Latin America may be collaborating with Islamic extremist organizations.

Judicial Watch Statement on Ohio Court’s Ruling in Early Voting Case
(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton today made the following statement in response to the ruling by the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit reversing a district court decision and upholding an Ohio law that shortens the state’s absentee voting period from 35 to 29 days (Ohio Democratic Party v. Husted (No. 16-3561)):
“It is rewarding that the appeals court took the position advocated by Judicial Watch and the Allied Educational Foundation (AEF). Early voting is a bad public policy that unduly burdens the taxpayers, increases the likelihood of fraud, and confuses voters,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “It was absurd and dishonest to suggest that racism was behind the sensible reform of cutting back early voting from an excessive 35 days before Election Day. The Left’s attack on election integrity, in partnership with the Obama Justice Department, doesn’t bode well for a clean November election.”
In its opinion the court wrote:
[P]laintiffs complain that allowance of 29 days of early voting does not suffice under federal law. They insist that Ohio’s prior accommodation—35 days of early voting, which also created a six-day “Golden Week” opportunity for same-day registration and voting—established a federal floor that Ohio may add to but never subtract from. This is an astonishing proposition. Nearly a third of the states offer no early voting.…The issue is not whether some voter somewhere would benefit from six additional days of early voting or from the opportunity to register and vote at the same time. Rather, the issue is whether the challenged law results in a cognizable injury under the Constitution or the Voting Rights Act. We conclude that it does not.

Canadian Couple Married 62 Years Forced To Live Apart Because of Government Health Care
A Canadian couple married for 62 years si being forced to live more than 30 minutes apart since neither of their nursing home facilities can accommodate the two of them.
Wolf and Anita Gottschalk live in two different nursing homes in Surrey, British Columbia, NBC News reports. Wolf is 83 and Anita is 81.
A backlog at Anita’s care facility has caused the issue. Their family drives Anita every other day to Wolf’s facility, but the couple leaves in tears as they have to say goodbye. Their family would like to be able to have them both in Anita’s facility so they can spend more time together.
Due to health issues, the family is racing the clock:
The ordeal began in January, when Wolf was hospitalized for congestive heart failure, and then moved to Yale Road Centre, a transitional facility where the average stay is between 4 and 12 weeks, according to Fraser Health Authority. But after being hospitalized twice more for heart problems, Wolf kept getting bumped to this bottom of the wait list to go to a long-term care facility, Bartyik said. Health workers deemed him too ill to go home to his wife Anita.
Then two months ago, Anita, 81, who has a pacemaker, moved into an assisted living complex at the Residences at Morgan Heights. The complex is set up for residents with varying health needs, and Bartyik has been trying to get her grandfather moved there, even if in a different wing.

Chicago Teachers Union ‘likely’ to strike — because property tax hike isn’t big enough
CHICAGO – Chicago Public Schools approved a $5.4 billion budget for next school year that relies on three property tax hikes for local residents, but teachers union officials contend it’s not enough.
The budget will increase the district’s regular property tax levy to the maximum allowed under state law, a CPS tradition for the last two decades. But district officials also plan to tax residents specifically for capital improvements, and will impose a new tax to pump an estimated $250 million into teacher pensions, the Chicago Tribune reports.
According to the site:
CPS officials say the district’s total tax increases would cost the owner of a $250,000 home an extra $245.
The CPS tax hikes represent the latest financial pain city government has inflicted. Homeowners this month started feeling the effect of last year’s record city property tax hike to shore up police and fire pensions, a $554 annual increase for the owner of a $250,000 home that’s being phased in over four years.
The additional taxes are on top of a new $1.40 a month fee for cell phone users and landlines to pay city laborers’ pensions, as well as a proposed water and sewer tax that would increase the cost for an average user by $115.20 a year to fund a city municipal workers’ pension fund. That fee would come after the city recently doubled water and sewer rates and added a $9.50 a month garbage fee, the Tribune reports.
The “balanced” CPS budget also relies on about $30 million in concessions from the Chicago Teachers Union during the ongoing contract negotiations with the district, something union officials seem unwilling to accept, ABC 7 reports.
Union officials have threatened to walk out on students if the district pushes forward with the concessions. The CTU’s Contract Bulletin #14, sent out August 22, calls on members to prepare for a “likely” strike in mid-October.

NOAA: Tropical Depression #8
Tropical Depression #8 has just formed about 310 miles west of Bermuda. Maximum winds are around 30 mph. The system is expected to possibly strengthen to a minimal tropical storm as it moves toward the west-northwest. The system is then expected to curve out to sea before reaching land. With this forecast track, any impacts to SE VA, NE NC and the eastern shore will be minimal, although high swell and a moderate to high risk of rip currents are possible through the week.
WICOMICO COUNTY EXECUTIVE ROBERT CULVER VIOLATES THE CHARTER AND FOUR MEMBERS OF THE COUNTY COUNCIL APPROVE IT
It is easy to see bias in the local news media when you read the August 18th issue of the SALISBURY INDEPENDENT. First of all, we need to remember that WICOMICO COUNTY is spending some pretty big bucks with the INDEPENDENT and ROBERT CULVER hired the editors ex wife for a cushy made up job. Therefore, you can expect to read very little in the way of objective reporting from the INDEPENDENT.
It seems when the COUNTY COUNCIL approved the WOR WIC TUITION FUND there wasn't enough information available, so the money was moved into the contingency account. This would give the Council enough time to sort out all the details of this left wing liberal program and make any needed changes.
The trouble is, Culver and two of the Council members, Matt Holloway and John Cannon attended a check presentation long before the monies had been moved or even approved thus violating the WICOMICO COUNTY CHARTER. To be noted, a real check was given to the COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR $265.000.00 If you go to the WICOMICO COUNTY website and look up the Charter, it is very, very clear that no monies are to be transferred from the contingency fund without a vote from the County Council.
So, what's a bunch of liberals to do when they break the rules? They "CODIFY" it! JOHN CANNON'S statement in the INDEPENDENT to "CODIFY" interestingly means to organize procedures or rules into a system. Does this mean that this is going to be the normal mode of operation from now on? If so, what will happen to our democratic form of government that has been in place in WICOMICO COUNTY for over 100 years?
A Charter violation should be considered a serious matter. However, when it is done for a program as liberal as the WOR WIC TUITION it seems easy that the members who voted for this program are willing to let the matter slide, basically to cover their own asses. What really is bewildering is that the lawyer that the Council hired also said that the Charter has been violated yet four Council Members (JOHN CANNON, MATT HOLLOWAY, JOHN HALL & ERNEST DAVIS) chose not to pursue any further action.

Questions need to be asked as to why this deviation in procedure has taken place, been excused and swept under the rug.
Marijuana bust: Crucial mission or waste of time?
Officers from 10 law enforcement groups confiscated 107 marijuana plants worth an estimated $214,000. MILTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
A police operation that uncovered marijuana plants in Sussex County has been hit with a backlash of criticism on social media.
Numerous commenters wrote that the 2-month investigation involving 10 law enforcement groups was a waste of time and money, and many called for police to focus instead on the heroin epidemic and child molesters.
“Pot??? Come on, let's do something about the heroin issue. Waste of resources,” wrote one of 115 commentors, all but a handful opposed to the counterdrug effort dubbed Operation Summer Harvest.
Milton Police Chief Robert J. Longo headed the operation that included officers from Ocean View, Dagsboro, Georgetown, Selbyville, Delmar, the Delaware National Guard, Delaware State Police and the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control.

Am I Crazy? (Part 1)
If you are anywhere near my age or older you'll recall the images we saw in school of our ancestors coming to the Unites States for a better life, the "American Dream". The people coming here wanted everything to do with our values.
However, people weren't coming in by the hundreds of thousands or even millions at a clip. Many of the people Obama and Hillary want here are people who want to change every aspect of our way of life. The Liberal agenda seems to be more about overloading America with people who wouldn't mind capitalism. Heck, it's a lot better then where they came from.
The next thing we knew, laws are changing. Statues are being torn down. God is being taken away as if God is an insult. When we grew up we stood proud to recite the pledge of allegiance. We learned the Constitution, Bill of Rights and so on.
You are welcome to add your thoughts here in comments as to the massive changes you have seen. This article will seem long enough as it is but I think you're getting my drift.
Donald Trump comes along and the absolute FEAR he has placed on this Liberal Agenda is scaring the crap out of them. We have shown the farce time and time again how Hillary isn't truly drawing in large crowds to her rallies, yet Trump is filling football stadiums. The Liberal Media seems to be scrounging for their last breath because the major majority of Americans no longer believe what they're feeding us. The Blogs are getting threatened towards silence. Many of our Amendments are also being threatened. This is NOT the America we were raised in.
Mass shootings start coming out of nowhere and now they want to take away guns. There are military drills happening all across America, even in Mardela. Our law enforcement agencies are being handed military equipment. Am I crazy, am I missing something, is this normal?
Billions of dollars are disappearing that can't be accounted for, REALLY? Could it be that the upcoming presidential election is going to be rigged and they're afraid Americans might revolt? If you think for one second our government doesn't plan 10 years in advance for things, well, you are nuts. The writing is on the wall for some massive changes. In the past we have seen massive genocide around the World and we weren't running to those countries and bringing those people to the United States to offer them a better life. Instead, we're bringing people here, (again) who do not believe in our values and laws. These people are demanding we change our laws to suit their wants and needs.
To me it seems obvious, our government is forcing change down our throats right before our very eyes and the media is praising and supporting these changes as if what we have enjoyed in the past isn't/wasn't good enough.

I Forgot To Mention In My Earlier Article (Part 2)
In a conversation I had with my Father last night I asked him what he thought was the most up and coming item that each Family would need two or three of. He asked, like what. I replied, well, for example, back in the day cassette tapes were the big thing over the 8 track. Then came CD's. Black and white TV's and eventually Color TV's. Wall mounted phones to cordless phones and then cell phones. We had beta and then VCR's, then video disks. Then came computers.
Once he understood where I was going with my question he just sat there and said, I don't know.
I replied, well Pop, here's what I see. Let's see now, there's the new copper frying pan. Then there's the protective covers for your dining room table, just like Grandma used to have. Let's not forget the multiple plug in outlets. ISN'T AMERICA GREAT PEOPLE?
While we used to MANUFACTURE so many of the above creations, we just don't do so any more. Instead we import products because we sent everything overseas where it could be manufactured for peanuts and AMERICA could no longer compete. The Liberals then created the phrase, "we're a throw away society". No, Idiots, we're FOOLS! We've elected and allowed Idiots who know NOTHING about business encourage FREE TRADE. We drove our country completely out of competition and rather then being PROUD, while we dream up new ideas, what we get in the end are copper frying pans, table covers and multiple plug adapters.
It's time we rid ourselves of these IDIOT politicians who have NO CLUE about running a business. It's time we scream at them when they run for office and claim their main platform is JOBS! The next time you hear some Idiot claim they want to bring in jobs, demand they tell you HOW because they're ALL full of crap.
When you have a County Executive giving away Impact Fees, stop being so stupid and realize, SOMEONE has to pay for that water and sewer hookup, repave the roads, pay for the traffic lights and pay the salaries of the county employees approving such developments. That's right, YOU the taxpayer will now foot the bill for that shiny new home being built. Commercial developers are laughing all the way to the Bank. Politicians know NOTHING about economic development.

When you work in the bubble that is the Executive's office, you think you are wildly popular and invincible apparently. They are all in for a rude awakening. Whenever I'm involved in a conversation and county government comes up, people are invariably negative and think Culver and his staff are out of touch with the majority of the people. He is certainly not living up to his campaign promises. You can tell the difference of someone who is working for the good of the people and one who is working to try and keep his job. You better hope the Democrats will vote for you Culver, because you are losing lots of Republican votes.

IOC reviews Old Bay as potential enhancement
MONTGOMERY COUNTY- MARYLAND: Concerns are growing that Old Bay Seafood Seasoning a Maryland staple, will be named a banned substance in future Olympic Games. Old Bay an immensely popular seasoning regularly found sitting on kitchen and restaurant tables in the Chesapeake Bay region. And fears are that it could determined to be a "performance enhancement" that allowed the Free State to stand out in representing the United States of America. What else could explain the phenomenal results delivered by eleven world class athletes?
The U.S. finished with 121 overall medals (46 gold, 37 silver and 38 bronze) and of the total Maryland brought home 14 gold medals, three silver and one bronze. Eight of the individual 14 medals came home to Montgomery County alone. This incredible showing has only five countries winning more medals than Maryland itself..
An awesome accomplishment for all the athletes and in particular the American participants.

A mom in California discovered unsettling news of what her son has been taught in his seventh grade class. She’s upset, and she has every reason to be.
When Tara Cali went to open up her son’s history textbook to help with his homework, she noticed the lesson was all about Islam. For the actual homework assignment, students were asked to write down the “Pillars of Islam” and “Islamic Beliefs and Rituals.”
That’s not all though. There was even a code students could scan with their smart phone to hear a Muslim prayer in action.
Cali wrote an epic message back to the teacher on the actual worksheet. She was tremendously upset, and rightly so. Her son is being indoctrinated with Islam. Learning about other cultures is fine, but when a homework assignment is dedicated to learning Muslim prayers, something is wrong.

U.S. Navy calls high-speed approach by Iranian ships dangerous harassment
Four Iranian ships made reckless maneuvers close to a U.S. warship this week, the Pentagon said Thursday, in an incident that officials said could have led to dangerous escalation.
William Urban, a spokesman for the U.S. Navy’s 5th Fleet, said the four vessels from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps conducted a “high-speed intercept” and passed close to the USS Nitze, an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, in international waters around the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday.
The Iranian ships ignored repeated radio, whistle and flare warnings from the Nitze and slowed their approach only when they were within 300 yards of the U.S. ship, Urban said. He described the Iranian actions as “unsafe and unprofessional.”

Question: Should middle-schoolers be forced to walk up to 1.5 miles to school?
SILVER SPRING, Md. (ABC7) — A group of passionate parents is attempting to poke holes in a Montgomery County Public Schools policy, which denies bus service to certain students.
The policy states that elementary students living less than one mile from school grounds will not get bussed to-or-from class. The distance threshold is set at one-and-a-half miles for middle schoolers, and two miles for high schoolers.
Madiaw Diop and his wife have three children in the MCPS system. They live in a basic apartment complex along Glenville Road, approximately one mile from Eastern Middle School in Silver Spring.
The walk to EMS, which includes crossing busy University Boulevard East, takes roughly 20 minutes door-to-door. In addition to time, Diop says frigid temperatures, oppressive heat, rain and unshoveled sidewalks make the daily trek dangerous.

Mylan Execs Gave Themselves Raises As They Hiked EpiPen Prices
EpiPen prices aren't the only thing to jump at Mylan. Executive salaries have also seen a stratospheric uptick.
Proxy filings show that from 2007 to 2015, Mylan CEO Heather Bresch's total compensation went from $2,453,456 to $18,931,068, a 671 percent increase. In 2008 and 2009, Mylan raised the price by 5 percent. At the end of 2009 it tried out a 19 percent hike. The years 2010-2013 saw a succession of 10 percent price hikes.

Questions About First-Place Billfish Lead To White Marlin Open’s Top Prize Of $2.8M Being Withheld
OCEAN CITY — Exactly two weeks to the day since the one and only qualifying white marlin caught during the 43rd Annual White Marlin Open was hauled up the scale and ultimately awarded $2.8 million, shattering the tournament payout record and potentially setting a world record payout, tournament officials late Tuesday announced there was a potential violation of tournament rules with the big winner and the prize money was being held pending a determination of the proper recipient.
On Tuesday, Aug. 9, angler Phil Heaseley and the crew on the “Kallianassa” out of Naples, Fla. pulled into host Harbour Island with a white marlin to weigh shortly after the scale opened for business at 4 p.m. The big white was hauled up the scale and topped out at 76.5 pounds, and Heaseley and the “Kallianassa” cozied into the top spot on the leaderboard with the one and only qualifier up to that point early in the tournament.
However, it was only Tuesday and Heaseley and the “Kallianassa” had to sweat out three more days with white marlin practically jumping in the tournament boats during the 2016 WMO during which release records were shattered.

Legislative Black Caucus: Hogan should intervene in medical cannabis licenses
The head of the Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland is asking the governor to intervene in the awarding of medical cannabis licenses because the selected companies lack diversity, denying minorities the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an emerging industry.
"I am completely disappointed with the medical marijuana commission and the decision that they have made in terms of awarding licenses," said Del. Cheryl D. Glenn, chairwoman of the black caucus. "Clearly, there was no effort at all to factor in minority participation and make sure that it's inclusive of everybody in the state of Maryland."
Members of the black caucus and others have raised concerns that the 15 preliminary licenses for growing medical cannabis and the 15 licenses for processing the drug, which were awarded this month, mostly went to companies led by white men. Lawmakers and some losing applicants are mulling legal action.

White Lives Matter Protest At NAACP Building
Just outside the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People’s office in Houston, about 20 people staged a protest Sunday, holding up a “White Lives Matter” banner.
The protesters also waved confederate flags, and some carried rifles, while one of them shouted through a bullhorn.
“We came here because the NAACP headquarters is here and that’s one of the most racist groups in America,” Scott Lacy, a spokesman with the group, stated.
Ken Reed, another member, said Black Lives Matter and other organizations have resulted in the “attack and killing of police officers, the burning down of cities and things of that nature. If they’re going to be a civil rights organization and defend their people,” he said, “they also need to hold their people accountable.”

USA TODAY Sports investigation raises questions about Rio cops, Lochte incident
RIO DE JANEIRO – Seven days after an incident that will in part define the Rio Olympics, details are becoming clearer about what happened during a gas station encounter between four U.S. swimmers and security guards, and not everyone has concluded Ryan Lochte and his teammates are entirely in the wrong or that the account offered by Rio authorities is entirely accurate.
Lochte has admitted he exaggerated his initial description of how the four men were stopped in their taxi and robbed by men who flashed badges, as well as his sensational allegation of a gun being held to his forehead.
But a narrative of the night’s events – constructed by USA TODAY Sports from witness statements, official investigations, surveillance videos and media reports – supports Lochte’s later account in which he said he thought the swimmers were being robbed when they were approached at a gas station by armed men who flashed badges, pointed guns at them and demanded money.
A Brazilian judge says police might have been hasty in determining the security guards, by how they dealt with the swimmers, did not commit a robbery. A lawyer who has practiced in Brazil for 25 years says she does not think the actions of Lochte and teammate Jimmy Feigen constitute the filing of a false police report as defined under Brazilian law

Donald Trump Appeals to Black Voters: 'What Do You Have to Lose by Trying Something New?'
"If African-American voters give Donald Trump a chance by giving me their vote, the result for them will be amazing"
Donald Trump made his second appeal this week to African-Americans to vote for him in November’s general election.
“If African-American voters give Donald Trump a chance by giving me their vote, the result for them will be amazing,” the Republican presidential nominee said during a rally at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
“What do you have to lose by trying something new? I will fix it,” said Trump, who’s been struggling to attract black voters. “This means so much to me, and I will work as hard as I can to bring new opportunity to places in our country which have not known opportunity in a very long time.”

Muslim Refugees REFUSING To Work, Saying “Guests Shouldn’t Have To”
![]() |
| Refugees At These Camps Have Refused All Job Offerings |
An initiative was started to help provide jobs to a large majority of the immigrants and refugees around the globe. The initiative revolves around the idea that we could lower the “refugee burden” by having them work for the food, shelter, stipends, and other benefits they are receiving.
These Muslim refugees are being allowed into the United States as well as Europe. Yet, they won’t even consider helping out. Instead they want to be treated as “guests.” They are taking entitlement to a whole new level.
