NEWS RELEASE

DATE & TIME: Wednesday, September 10

Case # 14-0180

LOCATION: West Ocean City, Worcester County, Maryland

CRIME: Burglary 2nd Degree, Attempted Theft Less than $100, Burglary 4th Degree, Malicious Destruction of Property, Theft $1,000 to under $10,000, and Escape – 2nd Degree

ACCUSED: Stacey Lynn Dean Jester

CHARGES: Burglary 2nd Degree, Attempted Theft Less than $100, Burglary 4th Degree, Malicious Destruction of Property, Theft $1,000 to under $10,000, and Escape – 2nd Degree.

NARRATIVE: On September 10, 2014, the Worcester County Bureau of Investigation was conducting a follow-up investigation into numerous burglaries and thefts that occurred in Worcester County in August 2014. During the investigation, Detectives found that the suspect, Stacey Lynn Dean Jester, had previously sold electronics to a business in West Ocean City.

Detectives responded to the business, and were informed that Jester had in fact previously sold numerous televisions, cell phones, and a laptop computer to the business. Detectives were also informed that Jester had just called and advised that she was on her way with an additional laptop computer that she wanted to sell. Detectives were aware that Jester was already wanted on outstanding arrest warrants through the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office and the Ocean City Police Department.

Detectives, as well as members of the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the business in order to apprehend Jester. Jester was observed arriving to the business in a black vehicle, which contained two additional occupants, identified as Nicole C. Shortlidge and Jamie Esham. Jester went into the business and was followed by a Detective, at which time she was apprehended on the warrants.

After being placed under arrest and placed in hand cuffs, Jester was brought to a Worcester County Sheriff’s Office marked patrol vehicle in order to be transported to the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office for processing. While at the vehicle, Jester attempted to flee from officers while hand cuffed, but was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit.

During conversation with Jester, it was discovered that Jester had syringes and paraphernalia for heroin usage in the vehicle. Shortlidge and Esham, who had been detained in the vehicle, acknowledged that they were aware of the syringes being present in the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted, at which time officers located several syringes, spoons, and other paraphernalia indicative of heroin usage in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Interviews were conducted with all of the occupants, at which time Jester, Shortlidge, and Esham all admitted to possession of several the items, many of which still contained trace amounts of heroin.

Shortlidge and Esham were charged with Possession of Heroin and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and were transported to the District Court Commissioner where they were both ordered Released on Personal Recognizance.

Jester was charged with the arrest warrants, one for Burglary 2nd Degree and related offenses and the other for Theft $1,000 to under $10,000, and Escape – 2nd Degree. Additional charges are expected on Jester pending further investigation. Jester was ordered Released on Personal Recognizance for the Escape 2nd Degree charge, held without bond on the Burglary 2nd Degree, and held on $10,000 bond for the Theft warrant. Jester was transported to the Worcester County Jail pending a bond review and trial.

INVESTIGATING DETECTIVE: Detective Jason Burnett
SUPERVISING INVESTIGATOR: Detective Sgt. Mike Lupiwok

Martin Armstrong Warns "Spain Is Moving Towards Civil War"

*SPANISH GOVT SAYS 470,000 TO 520,000 DEMONSTRATORS IN BARCELONA

*BARCELONA POLICE SAY 1.8M PEOPLE AT PRO-INDEPENDENCE DEMO

The Spanish government is militarizing gearing up for violent protests against the EU that are expected to turn up before a hot autumn. Spain is now equipping the police with about one billion euros with new combat equipment. Violent protests in Spain since the crisis began almost a daily occurrence. Movements such as 25 de Mayo or the Indignados call Spaniards of all strata of the population to protest against the government on the streets. The police will always respond violently. They cover up their brutal responses by banning any video of police beatings making it a crime in itself. This is certainly illustrating the loss of freedom and any democratic process within Europe. The police scandals have only charged the atmosphere within the population and we may see this erupt into civil war as we move forward.

Never Forget … Countries from Around the World Admit They Use False Flag Terror

Governments from around the world admit they’ve used the bully’s trick … attack first, and then blame the victim:

A major with the Nazi SS admitted at the Nuremberg trials that – under orders from the chief of the Gestapo – he and some other Nazi operatives faked attacks on their own people and resources which they blamed on the Poles, to justify the invasion of Poland. Nazi general Franz Halder also testified at the Nuremberg trials that Nazi leader Hermann Goering admitted to setting fire to the German parliament building, and then falsely blaming the communists for the arson

Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev admitted in writing that the Soviet Union’s Red Army shelled the Russian village of Mainila in 1939 – while blaming the attack on Finland – as a basis for launching the “Winter War” against Finland

Israel admits that an Israeli terrorist cell operating in Egypt planted bombs in several buildings, including U.S. diplomatic facilities, then left behind “evidence” implicating the Arabs as the culprits (one of the bombs detonated prematurely, allowing the Egyptians to identify the bombers, and several of the Israelis later confessed) (and see this and this)

The CIA admits
that it hired Iranians in the 1950′s to pose as Communists and stage bombings in Iran in order to turn the country against its democratically-elected prime minister

The British Prime Minister admitted [21] to his defense secretary that he and American president Dwight Eisenhower approved a plan in 1957 to carry out attacks in Syria and blame it on the Syrian government as a way to effect regime change

The former Italian Prime Minister, an Italian judge, and the former head of Italian counterintelligence admit that NATO, with the help of the Pentagon and CIA, carried out terror bombings in Italy and other European countries in the 1950s and blamed the communists, in order to rally people’s support for their governments in Europe in their fight against communism. As one participant in this formerly-secret program stated: “You had to attack civilians, people, women, children, innocent people, unknown people far removed from any political game. The reason was quite simple. They were supposed to force these people, the Italian public, to turn to the state to ask for greater security” (and see this) (Italy and other European countries subject to the terror campaign had joined NATO before the bombings occurred). Feds force public schools to accept illegal children without medical screenings

Obama administration ignores law to ensure future voting base

Since October 2013, 50,303 “unaccompanied children” from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras have crossed America’s porous Southern border to claim green cards via the immigration courts.

The Obama administration has sent none of these children home. Instead, federal officials have chosen to set aside normal immigration practices and to allow this wave of young illegal immigrants to apply for green cards via asylum applications and to disperse across the country.

With school now in session, these kids have enrolled in public schools nationwide.

Democrats War on Southern White Men?

Don't blame us, the headline is right out of Bloomberg News: "Democrats See South as No Country for White Men in Senate."

Talk about your southern strategy ... Bloomberg explains why we are seeing mostly female Democrat candidates in the South and somehow manages to avoid pointing out how absolutely cynical it is, if not downright sexist. Most certainly, it's a form of gender-based discrimination when it comes to picking candidates.
It worked six years ago when the party recruited Kay Hagan to defeat Republican Senator Elizabeth Dole in North Carolina and Senator Mary Landrieu won a third term in Louisiana, both with outsized support from women voters.

Now Democrats are applying that model in Kentucky, where Alison Lundergan Grimes is trying to oust Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, and Georgia, where Michelle Nunn is seeking to replace retiring Republican Senator Saxby Chambliss. Both have made an appeal to women voters a centerpiece of their campaigns.

An Obamacare Test for Republicans

Congressional Republicans keep saying they oppose Obamacare. Yet they’re refusing to take the simplest and easiest action against it.

The way the law is designed, insurance companies get taxpayer subsidies if they incur big losses on the exchanges. That guarantee has encouraged them to participate in the exchanges. It has also enabled them to charge lower premiums, since they do not have to cover their risks.

Republicans could force supporters of Obamacare to defend these taxpayer subsidies by advancing legislation to stop them, as Senator Marco Rubio (R., Fla.) and Representative Tim Griffin (R., Ark.) have proposed. But their colleagues are balking.

In part, that’s because of disagreement about how to proceed. The “risk corridors” that protect insurers from big losses have two potential funding sources: tax payments from other insurers, and general tax revenue. The question is whether to abolish the risk corridors altogether or end the ability to tap general revenues. Our preference is to do the latter. It’s fine for participating insurers to pool their risks, but taxpayers should not have any exposure for their aggregate losses.

From a California school teacher

"As you listen to the news about the student protests over illegal immigration, there are some things that you should be aware of:
I am in charge of the English-as-a-second-language department at a large southern California high school which is designated a Title 1 school, meaning that its students average lower socioeconomic and income levels.

Most of the schools you are hearing about, South Gate High, Bell Gardens, Huntington Park, etc. where these students are protesting, are also Title 1 schools.

Title 1 schools are on the free breakfast and free lunch program. When I say free breakfast, I'm not talking a glass of milk and roll -- but a full breakfast and cereal bar with fruits and juices that would make a Marriott proud. The waste of this food is monumental, with trays and trays of it being dumped in the trash uneaten.
( OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK)

I estimate that well over 50% of these students are obese or at least moderately overweight. About 75% or more DO have cell phones . The school also provides day care centers for the unwed teenage pregnant girls (some as young as 13) so they can attend class without the inconvenience of having to arrange for babysitters or having family watch their kids.

(OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK)

I was ordered to spend $700,000 on my department or risk losing funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for anything; my budget was already substantial. I ended up buying new computers for the computer learning center, half of which, one month later, have been carved with graffiti by the appreciative students who obviously feel humbled and grateful to have a free education in America.(OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK)
I have had to intervene several times for young and substitute teachers whose classes consist of many illegal immigrant students here in the country less than 3 months who raised so much hell with the female teachers, calling them "Putas" ( whores ) and throwing things , that the teachers were in tears.

Free medical, free education, free food, day care, etc, etc, etc. Is it any wonder they feel entitled not only to be in this country but to demand rights, privileges and entitlements?

To those who want to point out how much these illegal immigrants contribute to our society because they LIKE their gardener and housekeeper and they like to pay less for tomatoes: spend some time in the real world of illegal immigration and see the TRUE costs.
Higher insurance, medical facilities closing, higher medical costs, more crime, lower standards of education in our schools, overcrowding, new diseases etc., etc, etc. For me, I'll pay more for tomatoes.

Americans, We need to wake up. The guest worker program will be a disaster because we won't have the guts to enforce it . Does anyone in their right mind really think they will voluntarily leave and return?
It does, however, have everything to do with culture: A third-world culture that does not value education, that accepts children getting pregnant and dropping out of school by 15 and that refuses to assimilate, and an American culture that has become so weak and worried about “political correctness" that we don't have the will to do anything about it.

CHEAP LABOR? Isn't that what the whole immigration issue is about?

Business doesn't want to pay a decent wage.

Consumers don't want expensive produce.

Government will tell you Americans don't want the jobs.

But the bottom line is cheap labor. The phrase "cheap labor" is a myth , a farce, and a lie. There is no such thing as "cheap labor."

Take, for example, an illegal alien with a wife and five children. He takes a job for $5.00 or 6.00/hour. At that wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year, if he files an Income Tax Return, he gets an " earned income credit" of up to $3,200 free.

He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent .

He qualifies for food stamps.

He qualifies for free (no deductible, no co-pay) health care.

His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school.

He requires bilingual teachers and books.

He qualifies for relief from high energy bills.

If they are or become, aged, blind or disabled , they qualify for SSI.
Once qualified for SSI they can qualify for Medicare . All of this is at (our) taxpayer's expense .

He doesn't worry about car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners insurance.
Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins and printed material.

He and his family receive the equivalent of $20.00 to $30.00/hour in benefits.

Working Americans are lucky to have $5.00 or $6.00/hour left after paying their bills AND his.

The American taxpayers also pay for increased crime, graffiti and trash clean-up.

Cheap labor? YEAH RIGHT! Wake up people!

THESE ARE THE QUESTIONS WE SHOULD BE ADDRESSING TO THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES FOR EITHER PARTY. 'AND WHEN THEY LIE TO US AND DON'T DO AS THEY SAY, WE SHOULD REPLACE THEM AT ONCE!'

THIS HAS GOT TO BE PASSED ALONG TO AS MANY AS POSSIBLE OR WE WILL ALL GO DOWN THE DRAIN BECAUSE A FEW DON'T CARE.

Is This Next?

Judge Tosses Auditors' Lawsuit That Would've Revealed Concealed Carry Permit Holders

A county audit took an odd turn in Perry County, Pennsylvania when auditors requested that the county sheriff turn over the names of its concealed carry permit holders. This issue dates back to April where auditor Kimberly McMullen requested the release of the information since concealed carry permits generate revenue for the county. She said she had no interest in names of the people who have permits, but said she was doing this to weed out financial discrepancies. "(In one case, in Beaver County, it) cost the county about $13,000 in revenue," she said, because an employee was discounting permit costs for friends," according to PennLive

Perry County Sheriff Carl Nace said this was a violation of PA’s Uniform Firearms Act, which says the transference of such information can only be within law enforcement. He also said he faces a $1,000 fine for each name if that information were to be released.

"They want the names of the people who have gun permits, and that's confidential," Nace said. "The only ones who can get information are law enforcement under official duty."

McMullen, along with two other auditors, filed a lawsuit against Sheriff Nace to get the information about the county's concealed carry holders.

Why Illinois Is Bankrupt: 6,000 Teachers Get Pensions Of $100,000+

From 2013 to 2014, the number of teachers receiving six-figure pensions in Illinois increased by 24 percent. Today, 6,000 retired Illinois teachers are collecting at least 100,000 in annual pension money.

Yet, as Kelly Riddell reports for the Washington Times, if the Illinois Teachers Retirement Service (TRS) were forced to pay out the pensions it owes today, it would only be able to pay retirees 40 cents for every dollar. Indeed, the state’s pension fund is in trouble:
According to a report from the spending watchdog group Open the Books, over 100,000 Illinois teachers had already broken even on their pension payments after just 20 months of retirement.
Illinois taxpayers can pay up to $2 million per teacher per retirement.
The TRS pension fund is underfunded by $54 billion, according to the Illinois Policy Institute.

By 2029, the fund could be entirely broke.

Scientists: Strong Solar Storm Heading To Earth

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A strong solar flare is blasting its way to Earth, but the worst of its power looks like it will barely skim above the planet and not cause many problems.

It has been several years since Earth has had a solar storm of this size coming from sunspots smack in the middle of the sun, said Tom Berger, director of the Space Weather Prediction Center in Boulder, Colorado. The flare on the sun barely hits the "extreme" on forecasters' scale, but with its worst effects missing Earth it is only looking "potentially strong" at most when it arrives at Earth as a solar storm, he said.

New calculations from satellite data show that the worst of the energetic particles streaming from the sun likely will go north or above Earth this time, Berger said late Wednesday.

So while the power grid may see fluctuations because the storm will cause changes in Earth's magnetic field, it won't knock power systems off line, Berger said. It may cause slight disturbances in satellites and radio transmissions but nothing major.

Ex-Md. Governor's Grandson Arrested In Drug Case

DENTON — The grandson of former Maryland Gov. Harry Hughes recently made an initial appearance in Caroline County Circuit Court on multiple charges of theft, obtaining property from a vulnerable adult and drug possession, after Maryland State Police alleged he stole more than $250,000 from Hughes over a roughly two-year period to support a daily heroin habit.

Police suspect Andrew Douglas White, 26, of Denton, is also part of a large drug trafficking ring distributing heroin, cocaine and other drugs throughout the Upper Shore. Since June, more than 20 other people in Maryland and Delaware have been indicted on charges related to the same ring.

Documents obtained in Caroline County Circuit Court show White was arraigned Aug. 27 in circuit court on 20 counts, including seven counts of theft between $10,000 and $100,000; eight counts of obtaining property from a vulnerable adult, defined as a person more than 68 years old; theft scheme of more than $100,000; conspiracy to distribute suboxone, a medication used to treat opioid dependence; conspiracy to distribute heroin; possession of heroin; and possession of a large amount of heroin, more than 28 grams.

Martin Armstrong Asks "Has Western Society Become Fascist?"

The entire problem we face going ahead stems from the very idea of Karl Marx that government is capable of managing the economy either through communism or autocratic-socialism where the state dictates to the economy under the pretense of caring for the people, that has truly become a derivative of fascism where the state comes first. This is even reflected in the conviction rate that has risen from 72% in the 1970s to virtually 99% today eliminating fair trials. We also see it taking shape in the militarization of the police that actually do not protect society, but the state from the people. Police have been converted to IRS agents on wheels to raise money by abusing the people for every possible type of traffic violation. In Princeton, New Jersey, they even have signs in a parking lot “park head in”. If you back into a parking spot you get a ticket. The actor Alec Baldwin was arrested for rising his bicycle against traffic. Who knew you could even be arrested for such a thing. This is autocratic-socialism where the state pretends its abuse of the people is for their benefit when in fact there is always a profit that falls to them like FATCA and the NSA really looking for money – not terrorists.

IRS says it has lost emails from 5 other employees related to probes

The IRS said Friday that it has lost emails from five other employees involved in congressional probes into the agency's targeting of conservative groups, leading one top Republican to declare "this pattern must stop."

The announcement comes after the agency said in June that it could not locate an untold number of emails to and from Lois Lerner, who headed the IRS division that processes applications for tax-exempt status. The revelation set off a new round of investigations and congressional hearings.

On Friday, the IRS issued a report to Congress saying the agency also lost emails from five other employees related to the probe, including two agents who worked in a Cincinnati office processing applications for tax-exempt status.

Rare Respiratory Virus Now Making Its Way Across the U.S., Sending Kids to ER

Just a heads up, apparently a rare respiratory virus called human enterovirus 68 (EV68) is sending kids to the hospital all over the Midwest and it just keeps spreading.

To be clear up front, for most people, this virus causes nothing more than a really crappy cold with the regular crappy cold symptoms. For young kids who suffer from asthma, however, this particular virus can be pretty dangerous.

Hispanic National Bar Association Annual Convention

Remarks as prepared for delivery
Hispanic National Bar Association Annual Convention
Washington, DC – September 11, 2014

Thank you Juan (Sempertegui) for that kind introduction.

Congressman Luis Gutierrez is here – it was great to see you in Chicago with Sen. Dick Durbin last weekend.

Rep. Gutierrez is a powerful champion of national immigration reform and a tireless advocate for the humane treatment of immigrants and New Americans.

Today’s theme, “Unidos en Washington: Our Struggle, Our Progress,” is especially poignant as it coincides with the anniversary of the terrorist attacks of 9/11 –

Our thoughts and prayers are with all the families affected by that tragedy,

And we’re also reminded of the way Americans of every race, ethnicity and background were united by the events of that day.

But in talking about today’s theme let me start where most Americans do.
Beginning From Zero

Our ancestors took frightening risks to come here.

As the Chilean- American novelist, Isabel Allende [Ay-enday] wrote: “when you emigrate, you lose the crutches that have been your support. You must begin from zero, because the past is erased with a single stroke and no one cares where you’re from or what you did before.”

My immigrant great-grandfather, whose name was also Martin O’Malley, came to this country from Ireland.

Mortgage Rates Rise Modestly And This Happens...

Day after day we are told, just wait for rates to rise ("which they 'have' to because economic growth is so strong") and stocks will take off into the next leg of exuberance... why else would the Fed end QE and start more hawkish discussions? (aside from the fact they truly fear broken repo, exuberant markets, and lethargic politicians). Be careful what you wish for... Mortgage rates rose last week, back to the same level they have been at for 3-months, and refinancing activity (adjusted for holidays) collapsed to its lowest since 2008... and home purchase activity tumble back towards 20-year lows.

Rates up... mortgage activity collapses...

Take No Prisoners

To understand David Horowitz and his confrontational approach to the Left, we have to remember that he understands the Progressive mind so much because he used to be a card carrying member of their movement. He knows what they think, what they intend, how they go about it, and what they are after. Many Conservatives and Moderates find his writings, speeches, and appearances on TV and radio to be extreme because we tend to view the attacks of the Left as ignorant, bad manners, and even crazy at times. But as Mr. Horowitz notes, if they are so crazy why have they been the majority party for all but twelve years since the end of WWII? True, the GOP has won the White House more often, but we only had the Senate periodically, and didn’t take back the House until 1994 (and then lost it to Pelosi in 2006 until ObamaCare helped us take it back in 2010).

Horowitz points out that this isn’t a debating society. The Left plays for keeps and portrays everyone who opposes them as evil and seeks to destroy them, all the while decrying the politics of personal destruction. It is a dance that they have perfected and are abetted in its intricacies by the media. Conservatives keep thinking that the sheer weight of the evidence from history of socialism’s failures will carry the day, but it won’t. Why? On page 8 Horowitz writes: “Why do progressives not see that the future they are promoting has already failed elsewhere? First, because they see history as something to transcend, not as providing a reservoir of experience from which they must learn. Second, because in their eyes the future is an idea that has not yet been tried. If socialism failed in Europe, it’s because they weren’t the ones implementing it, and the conditions weren’t right to make it work.” I remember Michael Lerner, one of Hillary’s advisors and friends, wrote in his magazine Tikkun that the reason Communism would work today when it failed in the USSR is because he and others such as Bill and Hillary are better people. Wow. I am also reminded of then Candidate Obama’s famous phrase, “We are the ones we have been waiting for.” He was serious. It wasn’t a gaffe.

Obamacare: Fewer Doctors, More Demand

The trends are not pretty if you’re a physician — or a person who needs medical care.

Obamacare, as its advocates increasingly point out, has succeeded in expanding the number of Americans with insurance. Even though this achievement came at enormous cost, still leaves millions of Americans uninsured, and dumped millions more into Medicaid, this is still one of the few “successes” that the health-care law can claim.

However, health insurance and access to health care are not the same thing. And evidence is growing that Obamacare is likely to make it harder for us to see a doctor or otherwise obtain care.

Letter: Holder Aide Accidentally Calls Issa Staff for Help Spinning IRS Scandal

A senior communications aide to Attorney General Eric Holder seemingly called House oversight committee chairman Darrell Issa's staff by accident and asked for their help spinning new revelations about the IRS scandal, Issa said in a September 8 letter to Holder.

The aide, Brian Fallon, is a former senior aide to Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and a well-known personality on Capitol Hill. The letter describes Fallon as “audibly shaken” when he realizes his request to leak documents to help get ahead of news stories about them was mistakenly made to the very office he was seeking to undermine. Issa believes the call was intended to be made to Democratic Rep. Elijah Cumming's staff, the ranking member on the oversight panel, the letter said.

According to the letter, Fallon – who is not named in the letter but confirmed he made the call – asked if the aides could release the IRS scandal documents to “selected reporters” to give Fallon an “opportunity to comment publicly on it.”

BERLIN — In a project similar to what occurred last fall in Ocean City, a large scale transition from wooden utility poles to metal will begin in Worcester County next month.

The upgrade will take place over a nine-mile, 69,000-volt transmission line that stretches from Berlin to Ocean City. It will take about eight months and cause at least one, albeit short, planned power outage.

Roughly 150, 45- to 60-foot wooden poles are going to be swapped out during the transition and replaced with larger steel poles.

“They’re going to increase in height,” said Jim Smith, senior public affairs manager for Delmarva Power. “They’re going to go to about 80 to 90 feet.”

JAMES WOODS ON A MISSION, ISSUES #HOLDERCHALLENGE, ASKS FOLLOWERS FOR HELP

Hollywood actor James Woods has thrown the gauntlet

Hollywood actor James Woods has thrown the gauntlet down to America’s Attorney General, Eric Holder, and dared him to condemn the brutal beating of three white men by a group of black hooligans as a “racist assault” and a “hate crime.”

Time Is Getting A Wee Bit Short

I’ve noticed a few things of late…..

I’m an observer of people, by and large. I’m the guy who sits and talks with the bartender, or simply sits back and appears to be reading some article on my phone while sipping my Rum & Diet.

I peruse dozens of news sources daily, filtering all with a rather jaundiced eye, as most are horribly biased and many are intentionally dishonest.

But through all of this I’ve noted a shift — one that I’ve seen before, but this time it’s more-pervasive, more arrogant, and just generally worse.

It’s the destruction of civil order, to be blunt, and the haughty arrogance that one ought to be cheering on what is happening around us. The so-called recovery. The roaring stock market. The whipping out of the plastic card instead of the Jackson for even the most-mundane, and many of those cards are not even credit or debit cards — they’re welfare cards.

People getting mugged in places where it formerly never would have occurred. Crimes of opportunity, they say. No… crimes of lack of civility.

The knock-out game you’ve probably heard of. What you probably haven’t heard, unless you pay attention, is that it’s not just a band of black thugs rolling someone for grins that way — it’s also a white guy rolling a woman walking to her car in a place where she feels quite safe – just because he can, not because he needs to or even because he has lewd behavior on his mind. The only reason he targets her is that he figures she’s unarmed, coming out of a bar where she can’t legally carry her gun and have a drink.

Hillary decision likely doomed U.S. ambassador

Newly presented evidence refutes her account

A security decision finalized personally by Hillary Clinton may have unwittingly doomed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans the night of the Sept. 11, 2012, Benghazi attack, charges a new book.

“The REAL Benghazi Story: What the White House and Hillary Don’t Want You to Know,” by New York Times bestselling author Aaron Klein, documents Clinton herself signed waivers that allowed the facility to be legally occupied, since it did not meet the minimum official security standards set by the State Department.

One waiver in particular may have been crucial regarding the ultimate fate of Stevens, Information Management Officer Sean Smith, and CIA contractors Tyrone S. Woods and Glen Doherty, all of whom were killed during the initial assault on the U.S. special mission.

This view has been given even more credence in light of new testimony by Benghazi survivors.

NFL was sent a copy of Ray Rice video FIVE MONTHS ago and confirmed it arrived, claims law enforcement official

In a potentially devastating blow for Roger Goodell, a law enforcement official claims he sent a video of Ray Rice punching his then-fiancee to an NFL executive five months ago - completely contradicting the commissioners claim that no one at the NFL had seen it before Monday.

The person played The Associated Press a 12-second voicemail received from from an NFL office number on April 9 confirming the video arrived. A female voice expresses thanks for the video and says: 'You're right. It's terrible.'

And in a sign the NFL is descending into full damage limitation mode, Goodell announced former FBI director Robert S. Mueller III will conduct a probe into how the league pursued and handled evidence as it investigated claims against Rice.

Marcus Aurelius' 10 Rules For Being An Exceptional Leader

The Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius ruled from 161 to 180 A.D. and has maintained the reputation for being the ideal wise leader whom Plato called the "philosopher king."

His book "Meditations" has inspired leaders for centuries because of its timeless wisdom about human behavior.

It's a collection of personal writings from the chaotic last decade of his life. This turmoil inspired him to develop his interpretation of Stoic philosophy, which focused on accepting things out of one's control and maintaining mastery over one's emotions.

We've taken a look at a section from Book 11 in which Marcus writes reminders to himself on how to be a great leader. Using Gregory Hays' accessible translation of the ancient Greek (Marcus used the language of his philosophical heroes), we've broken down his 10 points into further simplified language, contextualized by the rest of Marcus' ideology.

Here are 10 things every great leader should know:

40 Million Consumers Have At Least One Student Loan

Increases in college tuition might have made sense during the brief boom years of the real estate bubble. But when the economy tanked and Americans struggled to recover, college costs continued to soar, resulting in even more students taking on loans to pay for their education.

A new analysis of student loan trends from credit bureau Experian [PDF] found that student loan debt increased by 84% from 2008 to 2014, surpassing the debt related to home equity loans and lines of credit, credit cards and automobiles.

That increase resulted in nearly 40 million consumers with at least one student loan open. However, the report found that a majority of consumers actually average 3.7 open student loans creating the an average balance of $29,000.

Jaws Actor From Bond Films Richard Kiel Dies At 74

Richard Kiel, the towering actor best known for portraying steel-toothed villain Jaws in a pair of James Bond films, has died. He was 74.

Kelley Sanchez, director of communications at Saint Agnes Medical Center, confirmed Wednesday that Kiel was a patient at the hospital and died. Kiel's agent, Steven Stevens, also confirmed his death. Both declined to provide further details.

The 7-foot-2-inch performer famously played the cable-chomping henchman who tussled with Roger Moore's Bond in 1977's "The Spy Who Loved Me" and 1979's "Moonraker." Bond quipped of the silent baddie: "His name's Jaws. He kills people."
