Yeah Sheriff Mike Lewis, now I have the rest of the local media chomping at the bit wanting to know what's going on that would make National News while some of us are being called "losers".
I happened to be at BJ's having lunch when a BOE person told me about these alleged favors and how juvenile they were.
Sheriff Lewis, you may want to get ahead of this one, if you haven't already and let the parents know what's going on since so many students already know.

What would everyone like for Donna Hanlin to do before a complete investigation is done. Perhaps she could just spread some lies and innuendos and later apologize for them when something she said was wrong. Perhaps she could close the school for the duration until the investigation is over and justice administered. Of course that would mean parents would have to take care of their kids during that time and we know parents wouldn't want that. Perhaps she could fire everyone in the school Administration even if they know nothing about what is going on. Would that solve all you naysayers wants? I don't think so. A loving mom with 2 kids and her husband having an affair? Even years ago when everyone thought Lewis walked on water there was undercurrents of foul play that were quickly covered up. How convenient for the husband that she went quietly with no questions cause the sheriff found her dead. How neat and tidy for Lewis's buddy not to have to worry about paying spousal support, child support or hassling with a divorce. She died. And Lewis parties at his buddy's house all the while.

I watched the county council meeting on Tuesday and Donna Hanlin acted like she was doing something by having Lewis and Dykes walk the halls of JMB. As if that will keep the crime down. You know the teachers got a warning ahead of time and were told to be on their best behavior.

I’m not a lawyer, but it seems that the Maryland States Prosecutor office should be handling the case due to possible concerns that a fair investigation. I wouldn’t want the appearance of bias from the local government. How does one get a fair trial in Wicomico ? Not saying that our local State Attorney’s Office will not seek justice. The community will be better served throughout this ordeal by a nonpartisan. Any thoughts?

If someone is out in administrative leave for an investigation such as this, the BOE is told by MSP to not comment until they have the facts and the investigation is complete. The BOE can’t just fire someone who hasn’t been proven innocent or guilty. The person is on Administrative leave which means they don’t have access to any BOE building, computer, email, etc during that tine. I know we all want to know what’s happening in the buildings our children attend but putting the BOE on blast for not talking because they were told NOT too is ridiculous.

If someone is out in administrative leave for an investigation such as this, the BOE is told by MSP to not comment until they have the facts and the investigation is complete. The BOE can’t just fire someone who hasn’t been proven innocent or guilty. The person is on Administrative leave which means they don’t have access to any BOE building, computer, email, etc during that tine. I know we all want to know what’s happening in the buildings our children attend but putting the BOE on blast for not talking because they were told NOT too is ridiculous.

National and state news reporters, given fewer conflicts, will probably be more comfortable running with this story. Joe can follow up when he is fed the doctored up "official story".
Half of the board is full of people who have messed up in their positions at the schools. One slept with their boss at Glen Avenue and speed with half the County. Weren’t Briggs kids the ones at Parkside high school during one of the massive fights that required multiple police to come? How will Culver deal with the support from Hogan and Franchot if he wasn’t livid enough to call out the actions for the liquor licenses. Again, my hope is that rumors are just that in a small town but I’ve lost hope in the fairness and judiciary system in the County.

The pizza guy hung himself in his pizza shop. I have been told Lewis tipped him off of a pending distribution and the guy decided to kill himself before justice could be served. Again another friend of Lewis tied to drug distribution. Lewis had officers from Rowan County North Carolina Sheriff's Department in his home for his birthday party just weeks later they were indicted for dozens of felonies involving robbing drug dealers. Read the article tarnished badge it goes into great detail on this matter. I just think after awhile you have to see the common denominator is Lewis. Anyone else wonder how he built that nice house back when he was doing interdiction. Troopers making the same money he did. The wind storm that came through when his house was under construction allegedly blew thousands of dollars worth of building material away. The fact is it was all stored in a friends shed in Somerset County. Insurance fraud is a felony. If just 1% of any of this is true he should not wear a badge. Take the blinders off people. The incident involving a female entering the State Police barrack and ramming numerous state police vehicles was kinda funny but again Lewis' adulterous affair with her resulted in thousands of dollars in tax money wasted not to mention the embarrassment it caused MSP. Oh well life goes on. We all answer at the end of the day for our sins.

Why can't you all get that Lewis is not covering anything up? Its an investigation, IF any of you, were involved in ANYWAY - you want then to get it right before putting it out on the World Wide Web for all the keyboard warriors to instantly prosecute the lady. I am NOT a fan of Day, actually, don't know him other than the politics in Salisbury. I don't know his wife either. COuld care less about any of it other than if she is guilty, she is guilty.
In this "Social Media" we judge all world - people judge before knowing all the information. In an open investigation - you have no real right to know more than you are supposed to know. Innocent people are found guilty because they can't find jurors who are not tainted by the false info from blogs, FB, Twitter, Etc. Put yourself in this person's place, put yourself in the investigator's place, put yourself in the prosections place.
Is this News? is this just a huge rumor mill and everyone who hides behind a keyboard thinks they can prosecute someone because they don't like someone else. She will more likely be found guilty and her name, her husband's name drug through the mud. It already has been. I hope none of you ever have to feel this type of persecution and can think before you type.
Whatever happens - stop hating the police departments for not releasing information in what you think is a timely matter. It is not your right to have this until they are complete with their job.

That's correct, she was on school property and this is a felony.
Whoever that POS Commissioner is, needs to be fired for this corruption.
I can see the end of Mike Lewis's career from here. People will remember this and will be reminded of it come the next election.
