People know. People talk when they see corruption on this scale. Especially when our children are involved. If the states attorneys office continues to sweep this under the rug because it’s politically charged and implicates people they were at christmas parties with even recently, those very people may take action against their inaction exposing them. State police and FBI need to be involved here. There is an effort for that to happen.

States Attorney Jamie Dykes and Sheriff Mike Lewis will be coming up for reelection in less than three years and this obstruction of justice will burn their careers. Political Corruption has consequences!

Oddly enough, this may work in Jake's political favor if it's spun right statewide. Jake looks to be at least a state representative, if not a federal one, as well as a senior Army officer. This can be made to look as though he overcame a big personal challenge while never wavering in his city and Reserve responsibilities.

I don’t understand the people saying leave her alone... For one she asked a minor and not even a minor.. A minor she was trusted to look after a STUDENT to get her pills. If this is as large as suspected, Mrs. Day is the alleged crimes are just the tip of the iceberg - certainly the real story is the alleged abuses of not only Mayor Day, but multiple officials. With Joe noting that the story is now being picked up across the bay indicates the much larger scope of issues. At first I believe that the local officials involved were running a game plan to hang Mrs. Day out to dry to protect the mayor, but are now caught in a situation where the story is so wide spread that there is no real way to contain it. Certainly, if Mrs. Day is found guilty, she should indeed answer for her crimes, and she will. However, the alleged abuse she is said to have endured, the infidelity of her husband and his behavior, and the complicit nature of many elected and appointed officials to cover for the Mayor is the real story. Mrs. Day, I would advise you to find another attorney from across the bay to not only defend you, but to also fully expose the truth.

Just because you like a comment does not mean that you agree with them, its acknowledging that you have seen it. You may not like it but many people especially those that elected are civil with others, it does not mean that they agree on their views on issues. A couple of these people are from Christian backgrounds and you may not like it but its not in their blood to be nasty to others because they have different beliefs or political views. Its about doing the right thing and especially when it comes down to doing what they were elected for. i know for myself, just because i like a comment does not mean that i agree with it. Sometimes we just have to agree to disagree. We don't always need and we should not be nasty to people, it's not right. Unless you have a real reason. Some people are freinds with some people just so that they can troll their page and be nosy. Hence the commenter. Only friends so that they can troll. There is no need to be nasty to people just because you don't agree with them when you have to work with them. Ever hear the old adage that you draw more flies with honey then you do vinegar?
