WCSO Press Release - Attempted 1st Degree Murder - Oct. 23, 2019

Bouyer and Carey
Incident: Attempted First Degree Murder
Date of Incident: 23 October 2019
Location: 2700 block of N. Salisbury Boulevard, Salisbury, MD

Suspects:
  • Brian Anthony Bouyer, 31, Salisbury, MD
  • Stephen Wayne Carey, 32, Eden, MD
Narrative: On 23 October 2019 at 1:20 AM a deputy responded to the report of shots being fired in the parking lot of the Salisbury Walmart simultaneous to someone screaming. The deputy, who was in the vicinity observed a vehicle that matched the description of a potential suspect vehicle seen leaving the scene. Upon turning around on the suspect vehicle, the deputy observed that the operator sped up and began driving in an erratic manner prior to stopping at which point two of the occupants exited the vehicle and attempted to walk away.

The deputy was able to detain the occupants of the vehicle and began an investigation into the events that occurred in the parking lot of the Walmart. During the investigation, a loaded revolver and two bags of marijuana were located nearby and it was discerned that they had been tossed from the vehicle prior to stopping for the deputy. Upon examining the revolver, the deputy observed the cylinder held two spent rounds and four live ones. It was learned that Carey drove Bouyer and a female subject to the Walmart store so the female could obtain a pregnancy test kit. Upon leaving the store, Bouyer and this female subject became embroiled in an argument over the possible pregnancy. It was during the argument that the female subject was knocked down and Bouyer reportedly fired two shots from the revolver but no one was hit.
After the deputy learned that Bouyer had made a previous threat to kill the female subject earlier in the evening over the possible pregnancy, the deputy charged Bouyer and Carey with Attempted First Degree Murder. Following their initial appearances, both were detained by the District Court Commissioner in the Detention Center without bond.

Charges: Attempted First Degree Murder, Attempted Second Degree Murder, Assault First Degree, Handgun in Vehicle, Reckless Endangerment

Now why would a deputy be dispatched and not Spd? Are Spd officers just glorified report takers and leave the dangerous work to the sheriffs office?

Police should start posting if their gun is bought legally.

SPD could have been tied up elsewhere...

Joe
Do some digging on this. Pull body cams, phone recordings, and police reports. There is a real story here. The FACT is, SPD flat out refused to handle this incident. The Sheriffs Dept took over the investigation because of that. ALL is this occurred in the City limits.

Northwest Woodsman: Shooting in a Walmart parking lot? My god, is there nothing sacred to the low life creatures that abound in my former peaceful home. Really sad. I feel sorry for the good citizens of Salisbury and wish we could do a time travel back to , let’s say, 1959.
Life there was much better then and extremely little violence as it was not part of our culture.

Because I don’t run “the most trusted source for news” in Salisbury. That’s why.

Why do we continue to allow scum like this to even walk the streets with normal people?
