A father who had an enormous chunk of his neck gouged out to remove a deadly melanoma has issued a warning to all sun seekers.
Ryan Glossop, 37, made the potentially life-saving decision to get his skin checked in November last year after a friend tragically died of skin cancer.
What started as a small mole on the back of the Perth father's neck was diagnosed as cancerous.
Two surgeries later, Mr Glossop's results were still coming back abnormal.

I'm still amazed at how ignorant our society is to skin cancer. I'm a melanoma survivor and had a co-worker say to me "it's only skin cancer" like it's less deadly. Over 10,000 casualties per year, get checked out people
Delmarva has one of the highest incidences of skin cancer in the world.
Get check out with a licensed dermatologist...just once a year ! ...it won't hurt ! .. with ozone layers thinning ..and not enough suntan lotion perhaps in our youth...JUST DO IT !

And where did you get that info? Delmarva has never heard about it. What about Florida? I think you just made that up.

The ozone is not thinning! Point of fact, it is the best it's ever been since its discovery! Read more...JUST DO IT!
