A Viewer Writes......Two Sets Of Rules

This is at the District Court of Maryland for Wicomico County.
Plenty of open spaces.

No K-9 in the car and get this, the vehicle is running.
Been there twenty minutes.

How many citations would we get.

Hypocrisy at its finest.

You really don;t know why the car was there. Could be many reasons. Without knowing, we are just throwing accusations in the air

Three sets of rules

Laws for the people who make the laws
Laws for the people who enforce the laws
Laws for US

Okay, but is it necessary to let an empty vehicle run for 20 minutes wasting taxpayer gas?

Do you know why the officer was there? No, I'm guessing you don't. Maybe making an arrest for someone with a warrant, perhaps. Was it your mom? You should probably answer that unknown number, she needs bail money.

With all of your remarks , it does not address the situation.
If there is a genuine emergency then lights etc should indicate so.Leaving
a vehicle running in a no standing under a no standing sign and a clearly marked(painted) curb is a violation regardless of the circumstances.
You are correct.. we need the (auditors) in Salisbury to bring to light the day to day effronteries in our town.

It is two sets of rules. That's why when on jury duty you always cote government employees guilty and civilians as innocent regardless of charges

I agree with both 9:44am and 10:25 am

Want to park there? Go to police training, get a police job and get a patrol car issued to you. Then park there while you do court house duties. There, see how easy it it. Your complaint rings just like the ones about police speeding, or talking on their cell phones. Those laws DO NOT APPLY to them. The legislators have explicitly excluded police from most highway laws they make for the rest of use. Get over it, or become a cop if you want immunity. Go ahead and park beside the car, or behind it. You assumption is spot on... you won't only be cited for illegal parking, but your car will be towed. And that police cruiser parked there will be no defense. The judge will just laugh at you for thinking you can do what cops do.

12:05.....BAM....You nailed it.

Don't worry about setting an example for behavior or exemplary conduct for those so set upon "enforcing" laws.
Use the "two sets of laws" to argue that police are MOST ASSUREDLY "above the law". I love it!!

Notice there were open parking spaces. Why use them when you can openly flaunt the law and tell everyone how YOU don't have to obey or conform? There ARE two sets of laws!

Even with the "exemptions", police should know (and yes, they KNOW) that citizens are always watching and comparing their behavior with the standards (and tickets) they are shown and receive for the EXACT SAME BEHAVIOR.

Thanks for confirming the attitude of those in command of the serfs.
One day, "We, the people" will fix it. There will be no "exemptions" when that day arrives.

Until then, keep cheering, Heinrich.

Public shaming and exposure. Just keep posting it please

How many citations would we get my ass. We would be towed from that site.

That is one Jackleg police department and Jake Day should be embarrassed.

Please God, will someone make the city merge the Salisbury police Department with the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office.

In as little as 20 years we will look back on the actions of the police and the mass incarceration of non violent offenders very similar to how we look back on slavery and segregation now. Its wrong in nearly every way. The mass population just isnt quite socially intelligent yet to fully see it.

Just give everybody guns and let the masses take care of it. We'll bury them, not incarcerate them. "Mass population?" What the heck are you smoking? Did you post your comment from jail?

It's there because the spot was available, legal or not. Too fat and lazy to walk a half a block. Your or I would have been towed and and had to pay a pretty penny to get our car back. Typical SPD.

I thought he meant about the 20-minute idle time. Or parking in the no parking area.

Or maybe the lot was full when he got there. Or maybe he had to jump out and chase someone.
