Friends of former Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh say her health has improved and she is "trying to put together a normal life," following her resignation amid the investigation of her book-deal scandal, The Baltimore Sun reports.
Friends of Pugh told the Sun that she is trying to keep a low profile as she continues to heal and the investigations of her self-published book deals continue.
"She's under [a] doctor's care and making progress," Pugh's friend Betty Clark told the Sun. "I see her on a regular basis. She's trying to put together a normal life."
Weeks prior to her resignation amid the scandal in early May, Pugh had been hospitalized with pneumonia.

I guess pneumonia is the latest new word for corruption.
Typical government thief! Why are we putting up with this BS?! Let's drag her out!
What is a normal prison life?
I'm sure she will get the hang of it soon.
Why isn't she in prison.
Wow, if this is the "new normal" for the left there is a pneumonia epidemic among them.
"In a brief statement read by Silverman, he apologized for harming the city's image and the credibility of the office of the mayor."
Her lawyer apologizes. How less than meaningful.
Oversight, misspoke, didn’t choose my words wisely, Trumps fault.
Does this mean she's getting WORKMAN'S COMPENSATION, TOO?
Bet tax dollars are paying for her scam. Wonder if tax dollars are paying her retirement and benefits?
Counting all the Federal money she stole. Along with Cummings,Hogan. and the rest of the Maryland Congressional thieves.
Poor thing. Just trying to avoid a prison sentence.
Normal corrupt Baltimore mayor; should be printing license plates.
She is a crooked, thieving bi**h. I'd keep a low profile to if I had her face. I don't know how she sleeps with herself.
She's keeping a low profile hoping the Feds forget her address before they show up with a warrant for her ass.
