I love that quote because it’s like saying, “LET’S GET REAL: If you think urinating respectfully on Ted Kennedy’s grave to protest injustice is more egregious than an illegal immigrant murdering Kate Steinle, then you have no moral compass. NONE.”
A reasonable person might ask, “What does urinating on Ted Kennedy’s grave or kneeling when it’s time to respect the flag have to do with what’s being protested?”
There is an answer to that question.
You see, there were a lot of ways Colin Kaepernick could have protested. He chose protesting the flag because he knew that doing something so incendiary would be extremely polarizing and would get a lot of attention, good and bad. Other NFL players saw what he was doing and copied him, not because they really care about the issue, but because they wanted attention for themselves.
However, it turned out that the protests were so polarizing that there were consequences. The protesting players cost the league enormous amounts of money and teams decided they didn’t want to hire Colin Kaepernick because bringing him onboard would lead to more protests, which would cost them more money.

The liberals and snowflakes say it's not about dis-respecting the flag, it's about calling attention to a social problem. Sorry, if you kneel during the National Anthem, it can't be about anything BUT dis-respecting the American Flag.
Why because you say it cant? Do you pull yourself off the couch whenever it plays? Have you never violated the flag code? It's just another way to invalidate the point these players are trying to make. Even when they come out and tell you why they kneel you make up your own narrative.
By your logic we should never protest injustice. Are they "offending" the flag? Are they "offending" you? Sounds snowflakey to me
Cant expect a bunch of rednecks to grasp the concept while they violate the flag code left and right.
I'm curious 'why' anyone would care. The bottom line here is 'MONEY'. When the owners finally realize these dumbbells are cutting their bottom line, then they'll be returned to 'employee status' rather than upper level management they think they are. Team members are 'just help' and most of them have to be chauffeured back home
because they couldn't find it on their own. These knuckle draggers are victims of the monkey see, monkey do syndrome and also of mental manipulation because of just that; joining a cause makes them feel as though they have equity in the organization when in reality they're just pawns. If you don't think so, then why have the owners claimed no responsibility for long-term injuries sustained while on the roster?? They're ONLY a necessary evil until their usefulness and 'use by' date
makes them extra baggage. This too shall come to pass.

Ah.. I think the entire premise here is wrong. No one, is protesting the flag I don't think. Not a single person. I can't find any evidence of that.
I'm open to changing my mind, can anyone point me to one of the protesters that says the reason they are doing this is to protest the flag?
Also, last time I checked, Freedom and Liberty is what was important. I don't have to be compelled to do a single thing that I don't want to, that includes being compelled to worship a piece of cloth. The very second someone is compelled to worship that cloth, then that cloth no longer represents Freedom nor Liberty. Period.
