Wow, such promise as a football player, now he will be on the
"Longest Yard" team.

If they do a thorough investigation will find she encouraged or baited. Hard to learn differently when mommy is hitting the grape juice, dropping the cleavage and carrying on

Anonymous said...

How is he 19 and still in High School????

Anonymous said...

Dreamer?

Anonymous said...

Star athlete at school.

Anonymous said...

Whoa - what the hell???

Anonymous said...

19 years old and still in high school?

Anonymous said...

I have a child that we held back in first grade. He will be 19 when he graduates so there are a few kids in high school.that are 19.

Anonymous said...

19 is pretty normal for highschool. People are clueless.

Anonymous said...

Boy you hit the nail on the head!

Anonymous said...

He just turned 19. Any kid who is held back a year turns 19 the year they graduate.

Anonymous said...

Jose Miguel Vazquez-Ramos

Anonymous said...

Solicited by text message? Does that mean asking for it and she agreed or not? But then it's called assault. Sounds fishy.

Anonymous said...

Under the age of consent = assualt

Anonymous said...

He is 19. She is 14. Does not matter if she consented or not. His life is pretty much over unless he gets a deal.

Anonymous said...

1:30 Please. That boy has been touchy feely since he’s been at Parkside.

Anonymous said...

he is the star FRESHMAN in football there

Anonymous said...

you mean any idiot held back will graduate after 18!

Anonymous said...

I would hope they investigate the text she sent this young man and to many other young men. There is much more to this story.

Anonymous said...

Some graduate at 17, depending on birthdate. I did.

Anonymous said...

I believe he was framed. She waited for him there according to delmarva now. Certainly it wasn't for him to take her a pizza. His big mistake was the fact that she was under age, and THAT caused him to hang himself.

Anonymous said...

If you read the Delmarva now article which lists the details. This incident took place in the guidance office in a room. Full on oral sex. Where in the world was the staff?

So thankful my sons last day is Friday. Unbelievable.

Anonymous said...

So what, he is now Marion Barry? The b$$$ set me up? He was in the wrong. So was she. But he will pay the price because he is a legal adult. Literally thinking with his ding dong. Read the Delmarva now article. Unbelievable. Unbelievable right in the guidance office? Where was the staff? No excuse for what happened on his part or the school.

Anonymous said...

Anon 9:49 I agree wholeheartedly. With cell phones 14 isn't as innocent as it was 20 years ago. This stinks to high heaven.

Anonymous said...

Wow apparently you know mommy well

Anonymous said...

Idiot. Most kids are held back in early years. Kindergarten first grade...

Anonymous said...

Please. If the walls could talk. Stop being nieve. Foreal he was doing what alot of them are doing and got caught. Now she yelling rape. If they are slobbering each other view u can only imagine what they r doimg throughout the school in any place they can find. Stop blaming administration. Im at multiple schools daily and the kids just do what they want and that includes not attending class and leaving and coming to school when they see fit. However the schools do not punish them properly as they should.im willing to bet she was somewhere she did not belong.

Anonymous said...

Y'all must did not read delmarva now. Sound like she had sucker s remorse. More then likely she allowed him to do those things and gave him oral. He talked about her or told it and her peers roasted he so a week later now she feels pressured and she s going to make him pay. Wonder if she portrays her self as older on social media, many do. This is something thats frequent and common in the local schools. Both should be punished, but damn if she is a victim. These young "ladies" are doing the most in effort to get attention especially from the upper classman and that includes trying to impress them. She is at fault just as much as he is and its a waste of taxpayer money. If law enforcement pulled tapes there would be multiple "assaults"once these parents found out what there willing precious little girls are doing.

Anonymous said...

Sounds like you're speaking from experience

Anonymous said...

You are right i am. I work with youth. They tell me whats going on in the schools and they tell me what they dont and wont tell their parents. Sad but this is happening alot in the area schools not just at parkside. On every level, especially middle and high school.

Anonymous said...

Im in the 40 club, we were not allowed to wander the halls and skip class and there were real repercussion if we did. Im sure some was doing those things but they did them off campus at their homes. Also i was raised not be treated like some boys play toy especially in some school. I would have slapped him for even asking or told him to ask his mother to do those things and i would have been especially mad w/ him having a girlfriend.

Anonymous said...

I understand your experience as a therapist. But you are clueless on the lae. Yes they both are at fault for the sex act. But the problem in this situation is the age difference . And by law the young man (as an adult) should have been thinking with his big head and not his little 1. Trying to get another notch in his belt.in the state of Maryland you are allowed a 4 year age difference with consent . Not a day over.

Part 1
Parkside and WCPS and their problems

Parkside High School has the worst leadership of all the schools. There sports programs have the worst coaches in the state of Maryland. It's no wonder they are putting out bad kids with criminal histories. Look at the Varsity and JV baseball team and their dismal records. Kyle Daubert had no business coaching the Junior Varsity team with his lack of skills and attitude. It was bad enough when Coach Holloman was the head coach and then they gave it to the JV coach, Kyle Daubert, that had an even worse record. WTH is going on with the coaching in Wicomico County Schools? Look at these embarrassing school baseball rankings!! I can discuss the other sports, but I will save it for another day. Parkside Baseball is ranked #150 in the state and #9013 in the nation! How embarrassing is that with a school population of over 1400 students? They are the worst team in the county next to WiHi. Look at WiHi's dismal record of ZERO(0) Wins! They 0 - 21 and ranked #243 in the state. WTH is going on in the WCPS system? Who hired these clowns? If you are praying that your child gets a baseball scholarship you can forget that at Parkside and WiHi. Kyle Daubert and Otis Elsey should never have been on the WCBOE payroll. It's time to get rid of all the baseball coaches and assistant coaches and start all over. Bryan Ashby is the Supervisor of Athletics, a title that he shares with "Supervisor of Career and Technology Education. He boats on he LinkedIn Page that he is "Supervisor of Education" as if he is in charge of all education in the Wicomico County Public Schools.

Part 2
Parkside and WCPS and their discipline problems

Look at the rankings of Steven Decatur, Snow Hill and Pocomoke. Those Worcester County Schools embarrassed and SMOKED all of Wicomico County schools. Look how many athletes from the Worcester County Schools who have been recruited and already committed to Division 1 schools for baseball. How many for Wicomico? Maybe none? If your child wants to play at a D1 college make sure they transfer to Stephen Decatur, Snow Hill or Pocomoke.

If you allowed your kid to play baseball for Otis Elzey, Kyle Daubert or Jay Fenoglietto you really scewed them and their college careers over!

Pocomoke
State - 121
National - 7660

Snow Hill
State - 89
National - 5324

Stephen Decatur
State - 46
National 2629

Who hired Bryan Ashby and why? What qualifications does he have to be the Supervisor of Athletics. Why hired Otis Elzey, Kyle Daubert and Jay Fenoglietto? And a better question is WHY are they still employed as baseball coaches in the Wicomico County Public School System? This isn't Little League and they aren't volunteers. The parents want answers and the kids want to participate in winning programs and they deserve it. They paid for it.

Bryan Ashby
Supervisor of Career and Technology Education & Athletics
Public School Systems 9-12

"I too oversee all interscholastic athletic programs that include approximate 2000 student athletes. This include unified athletic programs for students with intellectual disabilities."

Looks like someones son didn't make the baseball team and is mad. They were in the state championship a couple of years ago and now have 3 pitchers playing division 1 baseball at University of Maryland. You are a very sad individual. Since you are naming everyone else, why don't you use your own? Are you a coward?

Anonymous said...

Brian Ashby sucks as the Supervisor of Athletics. He turns out some crummy programs. Many schools have this as a full-time position and not a title. How can you run athletics and never go to any of the games? It is his job to support all athletics and attend the games, not just the meetings and conferences where there are free food and a hotel room paid for by the county taxpayers.

Dr. Hanlin, you need to fire Bryan Ashby and hire a new full-time athletic director. This guy is only using it for the title. Replace Ashby before we petition to have you replaced.

Did you say "a couple of years ago?" I read the post and it was talking about this year not a couple of years ago. Mr. Holloman is no longer coaching in Wicomico County. Also look at that record for Wi High 0 and 21. I'm pretty sure no one got cut from that team. I heard that no one really got cut, just horrible coaching in the county.

What part did the girl play in it and how did they get caught? Why did the 19-year-old get arrested? BTW my wife is 20 years younger than me.

My kid played at Parkside this year and Kyle Daubert sucked as a coach. Kids cussing with the F word all the time. There was absolutely no discipline. If it wasn't for Devin Warwick he would have left the team in the beginning. I'm thinking about transferring my boy to Snow Hill next year if they don't do something at the Board of Education and hire real coaches.

You must have been one of the parents that kissed the coaches butt so your child could start. I think I know who you are.

Wrong i never said i was a therapist nor did i say he shouldnt be punished. The fact is that he should be charged fairly and not called a rapist or said he force his self on her sexually. Apparently you lack common sense. Allowing females to think it is ok to entice boys or young men then flip it or yell rape when they dont receive said male s attention is no better than young males being ignorant of the law. It teaches them that it s ok to manipulate, lie and deceive to their liking. Once she figures she can get away with it she will do it on any level and pray you are not in her path.

Is that you Bill Cropper?? That sounds like the same dumb comments you used to make on here when you cheated good players out of playing time at Bennett High School. Shame on you!

David Owens has the same attitude so shame on him as well.

Dr. Hanlin needs to revamp that entire sports program or she is going to have a revolt on her hands. Kids being raped by other kids, gangs in the schools, disruption in the current baseball programs. I wouldn't want to be the Superintendent right now.

Oh wait. She thinks Pre k is more important than what is really happening in the schools.

Right the incident happened 3/10 just reported when? How long have they been talking and messing he turned 19 in February.

Anonymous said...

Was she charged in juvenile court w/ perverted acts on school grounds, was she suspended?

Anonymous said...

Question. If they were having consensual sex when he was 18 and she was 14 then he tuned 19, they have to take a break, can the resume said sexual relationship when she turns 15 since law says there must b no more than a 4 yr gap then stop when he turn 20, wait for her to turn 16... so
on...

What does your statement have to do with the current situation at the Wicomico County Public Schools? The only player that I know going to a D1 school this year so far is Andrew Smith. Andrew developed his talent outside of this lame school program. Has nothing to do with Kyle Daubert. As a matter of fact, Andrew had the talent naturally and his good father worked with him many days around his busy schedule. Great kid and very disserving.

Only 1 kid from Parkside High School made The Bayside South All-Conference First Team and that was Andrew Smith. The First Team was dominated by Worcester County Schools and that speaks volumes about the sports programs in Wicomico County. So embarrassing for the kids.

LOL!! Don't we have a sh!tty athletics program in Wicomico County that lets anyone coach so that their child can play sports. Look at Bill Cropper at Bennett, David Owens at Bennett, Chris Burkhardt at Parkside, Otis Elzey at Wicomico High School. There are several others I could name as well, but since this is a dismal year and last year I will mention their names. That cropper kid wasn't that good at baseball and his daddy forced his way in so that he could make sure that Little Cropper could get some playing action for the college coaches. Yeah, his playing days are over. He can come back home and play girly softball in the County league.

The only good ball player you are referring to is Parsons. He came from a good home and is an all around good ball player. The other two get minimal playing time on the mound. If they were that great they would be playing in the field. The players that could get cut and aren't are sometimes kept on the team as extra pitchers.

Please gripe about crappy sports on another thread. Has absolutely nothing to do with the case at hand.
