A Comment Worthy Of A Post 11-29-17

See let me put some light to this. I witnessed the accident while I was out front working. I had replied to my co worker that something was going on here comes the engine and Engine 1 come flying past us. Engine 1 traveling towards the light at approximately 35-40mph driver let off the gas and Jake brake engaged at the first entrance to Shorestop parking just past Ace and gym entrance. The light was solid red he applied Jake brake 5-6 seconds and brake lights before blowing the light and T-boning the driver. I was advised not to be a witness do to it being perceived as vengeful due to all the legal conflicts. Whoever said the driver blew the light is wrong and it was witnessed by two bystanders being employed in the right spot at the right time. the engine light was red. And the location and intrusion to the drivers side door should be enough. But MSP was literally right there on scene behind the engine collision. I'm shocked (not really) the driver was found at fault. We both said when we seen it someone is going to be rich. Shame on the driver all fireman know you proceed with caution and there no way he approched a red light that hot and stop, the officer should have seen him since he hit him drivers side traveling towards JMB. This takes the cake. Embarrassing for SFD, the Driver of the Engine, and the agency that found the other driver at fault. politics!!!!!

There should several lessons here you all should take away from this!!!! First, Cops lie and will cover for their own kind, even Firefighters and politicians but not you average folks... Secondly, you can't trust and expect these kinds of people to do the right thing any more... They don't care if you have evidence or not to prove other wise, you don't question their "authorratay" (spelled wrong on purpose)... Thirdly, this should show you that, what you hear or read in the cops narratives are mostly inaccurate, and that sometimes, there are people with evidence, legit evidence to prove their narrative other wise, like this article... But had there not been a witness, you would believe the lying cops over someone with factual evidence... There are cameras that caught it i'm sure but will more than likely be erased or won't make it to court for this car driver... Fourthly, this should scare you, that cops lied and pinned it on an innocent person, and that it could happen to you, or a friend or loved one!!!! Not everyone is anti-police, most people are just anti-police brutality, and anti-police harassment and the other bad things some of the bad cops do... This in turn also gets good cops attacked and even killed... But they blame us not the bad cops for the hate they earn...

Now I'm glad this happened only to the fact that this shows you everyday innocent people are actually being charged by cops for their mistake or others mistakes... but I am sure you clowns won't see it that way, and that is why things are getting worse than better... You first have to acknowledge there is a problem to fix a problem...

I witnessed a young girl cut off an ambulance (lights and siren on) in that same intersection about 3 weeks ago. She ran thru a yellow light, talking on her cell phone, causing the ambulance to slam on brakes. She never even knew what she'd done as I saw her go right passes me as she made the left turn in front of the ambulance and almost got hit head on.
Then about a week ago on MT. Hermon Road, an ambulance was headed west with sirens and lights all on. I was going east, did the proper thing and pulled over and stopped to let it go by. I was almost rear ended by the driver behind me who obviously does not know the law, and to top that, people behind me started blowing their horns to make me move while the ambulance was still approaching, because I stopped and obeyed the law. I did not move until the ambulance was well past.
To many drivers, especially young ones do not obey or respect first responders.
I'd have to have seen your description of what happened to believe any of it.

If you were a witness then be one. Contact the driver tell him to hire an attorney and sue the crap out of the
city. If he can’t afford one start a go fund me account for him. I’ll be the first one who donates and I guarantee plenty will follow. It is time to make this right before someone gets killed buy this city.

I would get a FOIA request for the dash cam of the trooper. Also get one for the firetrucks black box to check the speed.

12:10 You don't need to pay an attorney in a personal injury case upfront. They collect their fee on the back end.

I read no comments that states "an emergency vehicle must obey all traffic signals, if red then they have to slow down and proceed with caution" to avoid an accident. They are not to charge through red lights / stop signs just because they have on emergency lights and sirens on. Is this not Maryland Law?

1:28 he probably will have to go out of the area to get an impartial attorney. It is a sad thing but true in Salisbury.

There is a video showing the young driver going well over the speed limit and passing vehicles that had stopped to yield to the emergency vehicle.

I absolutely believe you are correct.

What about the lawyer Rommel ? ( sp?)

They have to drive with “due regard” and not coming to a complete stop or making sure you have control of the intersection before proceeding through a red light is not due regard.

I believe that Salisbury Fire Department has been in a wreck like this before. It involved a tanker where they went through the red light without stopping and hit a car.

Shut your mouth unless you man up and testify what you saw. You say it was the Fire Departments fault and witnessed it yet wont come forward makes you just as guilty. All mouth and no action makes for a small person. Come forward and make right what YOU think is right. And you say someone else was you... that's two. Man up!!

It's your duty to go to court as a witness for the driver of the car.

How many times has Crash O'Barski wrecked cars and should have be charged at fault but got away with it each time?? The last one being the $100,000+ Assistant Chief's buggy. The one he drives home for dinner and holidays down to Fruitland when his shift is on. The one that he drove to his sons soccer games all over the county while he was on duty.
