I have to disagree Joe. India and China are constantly moving towards more renewable sources. They realize that future industry will run off the technology so they have chosen to be the innovators who will hold the market share when it is time to switch over. Finite resources are just that--finite. Why create an entire infrastructure of coal burning plants (this applies more specifically to poor areas of India). Much of India still burns cow feces for heat sources so for them moving to coal would be like installing land line telephones when the technology for cellular phones is already cheap, more practical and readily available.

The point of this cartoon is true, the US would take the largest monetary hit. The US is pushing coal because we're sitting on it and it would be a waste not to make the $$ off it right?

This was just another Obama ruse to bankrupt and destroy the US. Actually had nothing to do with the environment.
