UPDATED: SOMEONE PLEASE HELP THIS DOG!

UPDATE:
James Jutsu J Morton Hey y'all. That's Nefetiti and she has a liver disease. I was back and forth out of the obgyn checking on her. I only took her with because she wanted to ride so bad. I had charges brought up against me for animal cruelty only to have them dropped after they found out her condition. I love my baby. She is super spoiled but her body cant process the food she eats. Thank you all for your concern for Titi. I got a call from the animal control dropping charges and promising an expensive surgery if I signed her over. That quickly changed from the mouth of the vet who wanted to euthanize. Obviously I refused. There are the facts.

 *********************************************
Today in the parking lot of the new Chesapeake Healthcare OBGYN office in the Woodbrooke medical park there was a puppy in a dark green Ford Explorer with the window cracked. The puppy was incredibly malnourished, skin and bones, and the car was not running. I called Wicomico County Humane Society (they are a few miles away) and they said it's not in their jurisdiction so to call Salisbury Animal Control. I called Animal Control and I had to leave a message with my information and information about the incident. They only returned my call 45 minutes later to tell me to call the city. I had already called Wicomico County Sheriffs Dept. who took all of the information including the tag number and said they would send someone to check it out. I gave them my information so that they could follow up but haven't heard anything. I also went inside the OB office to tell them but they were unable to help. I am going to call the sheriffs department myself to follow up, but please share and repost this and maybe someone will recognize the tag number, the dog or the car. There is a special place in hell for people like this. #wicomicocounty #salisburymd #cityofsalisbury #swipe

OMG! Thank you for pushing the issue. Shame on the owner and the authorities!

Please everyone keep your eyes out for this vehicle! Let's work together to help this poor dog.

I would have called Salisbury Police AFTER having to leave a message for Salisbury Animal Control. This passing the damned buck between city and county animal control is bullsh*t! Sounds like the frickin' fire department fiasco! An innocent animal's life is at risk. I'd have carried myself into that damned GYN building and they would have had no choice but to get SPD there when I refused to leave until that poor dog was tended to. I hope the poster will NOT let this drop. Go to Jake Day, go to the City and County Council, call your district representatives, call Hogan, go to the Director at the Humane Society...animal laws need to be addressed AND ENFORCED...We ALL need to BE A VOICE for these animals and take a stand for them. The backwoods yahoo mentality around here pertaining to animals is SICKENING.

Oh christ another social justice warrior who would do this, do that IF ONLY they had been there. Stop with the phony baloney already. The original poster does not mention how long they were there or how long the dog was in the car or what time of day this occurred. But we can assume it was longer than just a few minutes if they made several calls and went inside the building.

The weather report that I read for that day was a high of 84 degrees. After an hour the inside temp of a vehicle can reach 130 degrees. Again, no mention of what time of day or what the actual outside temp was so we are to just guess how hot it actually was inside or out of the vehicle.

But unless it was very early in the am, it was too hot to leave any animal inside a vehicle.

Break the damned window and let the dog out fist. Then make your stupid phone calls.

To the person turning in these picture: Why didn't you break the glass and call the Humane Society immediately? Citizens are allowed to do this when they see pets and children left unattended in cars in the heat. And even if the owner comes back on you, they would be subject to worse than you legally. My God, how could you walk away from this? I just couldn't. smh

I get that the dog has a disorder, but that doesn't waive away your stupidity off leaving the dog in a hot car.

There is a difference between going for a ride and sitting in a parking lot for several hours.

Help the dog first then make calls.
Not doing anything is wrong.
We need to take pictures and take then to police, news stations and city council.

In reading the first post it is the same old piss poor workers that all need to be fired at the humane society they told the person to call animal control which they did. The worker should have asked the caller their location and them provided the phone number to the correct animal control agency either city or county. When will the county executive or county council step up and do what has been done in Cecil and queens Anne's county and make a county department and run it instead of non profit doing this.

It's skin and bones Moron!

If any of you notice the dog has its backbone sticking through its skin and ribs showing. It's suppose to be a larger dog. It's obviously not fed well and left in a car also. Someone should have come out and seen it. But all these people she called had thier thumb up thier butts and are too lazy to do thier job!!

Who are you talking to and more importantly, WHY are you talking to anyone in such a manner?

Do you really have such a low opinion of yourself that you have to put others down to feel good about yourself?

Wow, people starting with the insults so early in the morning.

I don't believe WoodBrook is in City Limits, is it????
( It's across from K-Mart._)
If not , then my understanding would be Animal Control
at the Humane Society would take care of this.
Such a horrific site to see this dog in that condition
and so helpless .
I'd have broken the D--- window out and took the dog
although his would have been against the law!@ Law states you
would be charged , that you are to call the " Authorties ".??

Keep in mind, it only talks 15 min. for a dog to die
in an enclosed car and it's a horrible death for them.
Cracking the window as shown doesn't give the animal much hope
to live either.
I want to hear from these ?"Authorties" as to what they did!!
This is where the County needs to be in charge, but NO, they
don't want that responsibility and soooo they leave it Unattended
to be run as H.Society wishes. No one is held responsible!
That's Crap and someones head needs to be turn around !!!

That poor little dog has no quality of life!!!
He's literally starving to death. Where
are your Brains lady???
And----you do not keep a dog in a car when
the weather is over 70 deg. Look up the facts
as to how hot it can get inside the car at that
temp. A car heats
up much faster then outside air.
What do you mean you kept checking on him???
Do you mean to say to see if he's still
breathing??? How uninformed you are !.

Remember Aaron Balsomo is the one who rescued the puppies from the puppy mill in Fruitland. He is desperately trying to change the laws in this county! All of you animal lovers need to attend the next meeting to help make this happen. You are speaking up now but we need action behind it. To the owner of this dog yes it is very difficult letting go of a fur baby. They will fight for life for you even when they don't really have a good quality of life. It can become selfishness on the owners part not wanting to let go. I have had so many beloved pets and was blessed to have wonderful vets make the process of going over the rainbow bridge peaceful . The pet is sedated first so they are already asleep. You can stay with them so they know you love them through the process. It's one of the hardest things that I have had to do because I liove animals more than people but I don't want to see them suffer. If you know your doggie can't get any better it's the most loving thing you can do for them. Remember there are so many others out there that need a home. You have given your doggie a wonderful life eventually open your heart to rescue another. Our pets don't live as long as people,

Yes, it is hard to let go of a pet when
it's time. This poor animal looks like
it's past his time.
Actually , it is so selfish on our part to
keep them here to suffer when the right/kindness
thing is to "let them go."
I sure hope this person makes the right decision
and lets this little one be at peace.

Fire Kim Molnar! She is rude and very unhumane to all animals. Every time you enter she is sitting there snarling at you.As many complaints there has been about this woman how does she still have a job.
