Charges filed against FBI agent involving death of LaVoy Finicum

Investigators have concluded that police were justified in shooting Robert “LaVoy” Finicum last year, a rancher who was involved in the occupation and standoff at an Oregon wildlife refuge.

However, charges have been filed against an FBI agent for lying about his role in the shooting. FBI agent W. Joseph Astarita pleaded not guilty to the charges on Wednesday, according to The Oregonian.

Astarita, 40, was indicted on five counts – he has been charged with three counts of making a false statement and two counts of obstruction of justice.

The indictment reads: “Defendant acted with the intent to hinder, delay and prevent the communication of information from the Oregon State Police to the Federal Bureau of Investigation relating to the possible commission of a federal offense.”

Good. Remember when Clinton was trying to give Federal Agents immunity? It was around the time they massacred all those people in Waco.

Don't worry, nothing will happen to this FBI agent... And what is funny is how cops do this every damn day and nothing happens to them so why should anything be different for the FBI???

There are many videos out there showing what happened from above and inside the car. There is no defense that would justify what happened. Watch them and see for yourself.

This is certainly one of the events that molded my opinion of our government and our current status as "citizens".

Its pretty disgusting to begin with. I am sure the trial and innocent verdict will be just as disgusting.

I have watched all available videos of this and until recently had them stored on my pc. These people were no threat. They just wanted to keep their appt with the sheriff in the next county. Of course, that just made things worse for them since they would not "obey" the commands of those present.

They set up that ambush in a desolate area and with no cell phone service. It was all intentional, premeditated and planned.

One of them even removed one of the bullets from the roof of the vehicle they were driving in an attempt to cover it up.

And sadly, you are probably correct in them finding a verdict of not guilty. No one involved is innocent, there is a difference.
