The mayor pulled no punches earlier this week when she said the murder rate is out of control. She wants to bring in the FBI to the city, but will it make a difference? Some people are skeptical of that.
Violence in Baltimore has reached a crisis level, with the number of killings shattering a 20-year high this early in the year, Baltimore’s mayor was blunt.
“I’m calling on all the assistance we can possibly get because I can’t imagine going into our summer months with our crime rate where it is today, what that’s going to look like by the end of the summer,” says Mayor Catherine Pugh.

The Baltimore leaders gave the city to the trash and want help. Money, money, money.....let they have the city. I am from the Salisbury area, but remember when Baltimore Police Department were on top of things. A great police agency solving homicides and were respected. I guess politicians and standards took over. Very sad indeed.
How will that help?
Obama and Lynch investigated and wrote a scathing criticizing report against the Police for doing their job and got procedures changed. Mayor you knew the circumstances when you ran for Mayor, but I hear nothing about her supporting or allowing the Police to do their job. You get no help / money from other agency. In other words deal with it yourself. As a MD tax payer you are screwed.

know about law enforcement is ALL crap and that crime with handguns and knives is out of control in Baltimore?
The bottom line is the people in charge of government are a gaggle of wooden heads in the St. of Md. and as a result of that they've run amok in allowing all criminals with all these rights to turn Baltimore into the third largest purveyors of murder and mayhem in the USA. Listening to arguments against allowing citizens and police to fight back against these gangs and dopers from the Legislature make about as much sense as providing birth control to nuns.
The sooner people realize Mike Miller and Mike Busch AREN'T good for Maryland the sooner criminals will be taken in check. Mathias is also amongst the Liberal majority who is ruining the sanctity of a families homestead and streets in their respective communities.
