Marshals Now Leading Search For Escapee 5-1-17

Howard County police say the U.S. Marshals Service is now leading the search for the Wicomico County prisoner who escaped custody Friday during transfer to a Jessup psychiatric hospital.

While other agencies including Anne Arundel County police and Maryland State Police have assisted in the search, it's the marshals who will be leading it from here. With county police, they're offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the capture of David Watson.

Watson, 28, was being taken to Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center for a court-ordered psychiatric evaluation. Watson was serving a 106-year sentence in Delaware for shooting at police officers' homes. He faces similar charges in Wicomico County. He was picked up in Delaware on Thursday by Wicomico County authorities and spent the night in Wicomico County Detention Center before two prison guards took him to Jessup. When one guard opened the van door upon arrival, he pushed the guard over and ran into the woods. Handcuffs and a waist chain were found at the scene, and articles of clothing were found in the woods.

What exactly are the US Marshalls? Well they are THE GREAT Sam Gerard and that's all YOU need to know!

"Alright, listen up, ladies and gentlemen, our fugitive has been on the run for ninety minutes. Average foot speed over uneven ground barring injuries is 4 miles-per-hour. That gives us a radius of six miles. What I want from each and every one of you is a hard-target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in that area. Checkpoints go up at fifteen miles. Your fugitive's name is Dr. Richard Kimble. Go get him."

Too strange. Sounds like a little corrupt help.

The US Marshals are the modern version of Matt Dillon in effect the federal police and they can go places the local cops can't for example a US registered ship.If marshal law is declared they can make their own laws to suit the situation.

Shows you the quality of screw ups working at WCDC. Appears they did an improper / no strip search or an inside job. Appears more like an inside job since waist chains are pad locked behind the individual and run through belt loops to void movement an he had extra clothing. Why was he not in leg irons? So who unlocked the pad lock and handcuffs. Probably more ECI rejects that went to work there after retiring from ECI.

WHY would Wicomico County even order this evaluation and waste our tax payers money on a trial? He was already sentenced to 106 years in Delaware; is it not obvious that he will never get out of Delaware prison to serve his time in Wicomico County? 106 years + 28 years old = 134 years old before he got out. REALLY???
