The charges stemmed from accusations she illegally siphoned thousands of dollars from her charity into her own bank account for lavish parties, trips and shopping excursions.
Brown was found not guilty on four of the 22 total charges.
Brown served as a Florida representative in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1993 until 2017. She was defeated in her 2016 primary race.
The indictment came after an investigation into the charity One Door for Education Foundation Inc., which federal prosecutors say was purported to give scholarships to poor students but instead filled the coffers of Brown and her associates.

It couldn't have happened to a nastier person. A few months in a minimum security jail or home confinement, with a small fine is all that we can expect.

She's a saint compared to what Clinton has done with her foundation.....but the FBI left Clinton off the hook for her crimes.
I guess I missed this story on the big three TV stations. Hopefully they will see it here and do a spectacular and fair investigative story about her thieving ways.
Capital hill period is nothing but a cesspool of corruption. It is sad that the Clinton's got away with the deceit and fraud they've committed. How about the senator that had over 300,000 worth of bounced checks at a bank there? He was never charged prosecuted, zilch.
