2 sought in armed attempted robbery of ATF agents

BALTIMORE —Armed men tried to rob ATF agents Friday afternoon in west Baltimore. One of the men was shot and two others are at large.

Police said the shooting occurred in the area of the 2700 block of West Baltimore Street.

Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis said three ATF special agents were in a pickup truck conducting an undercover operation when they were suddenly approached by men in an armed robbery attempt.

The agents fired at the suspects, hitting one of them. That suspect was apprehended and taken to a hospital, and a Dirty Harry gun was recovered, Davis said.

A "Dirty Harry" gun? Now I definitely know all our snowflakes out there would know exactly what type of gun Dirty Harry used.

~sigh~

FYI - Clint Eastwood played San Fran Policy Department Inspector Harry Callahan in five (5) films. Callahan received his name "Dirty" based upon the unconventional ways he did his police business. The gun of choice for Dirty Harry? 44 Magnum via Smith/Wesson Model 29 with 6 to 8 inch barrels.

Come on WBAL 11, kids today don't have a CLUE. THANKFULLY the Baltimore LEOs were on their toes today. Robbers today - SHEESH!!!

TMI.......we don't need to know everything. Do the investigation, you don't need our permission to have different agencies in the area. None of our business. As POTUS says, "we aren't going to tell them ever move we are going to make".
Makes me wonder if it is show boating...no description, etc.

Obama said the ATF agents acted stupidly, and Marilyn Mosby is mounting a comeback in order to file charges against the agents. "This madness will not stop until all the Confederate monuments are taken down," said Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh. Former Presidential candidate (and future federal inmate) Hillary Clinton placed the blame squarely on President Trump's shoulders, CNN blamed Fox News, and Jake Day launched an immediate investigation into the number of SBY News' daily hits. "This, and more section 8 housing, will solve all the problems," he said over lunch with Barrie Ireton and Jim Tilghman (sic).
