WSW Walk for Awareness CANCELED

After much consideration, Women Supporting Women has made the decision to cancel the 15th Annual Walk for Awareness scheduled for this Saturday, October 8th. “Due to the impending hurricane, 90% chance of rain and Winterplace Park still being under water, WSW has to keep the safety of our survivors and supporters in mind so we have no choice but to cancel this year’s Walk for Awareness.” Emily Rantz, PR & Marketing Director said. “We are deeply saddened by this decision as it is the first time in 15 years the Walk will not take place.” Walk registrants may pick up their t-shirts at the Belmont office on Thursday until 6pm and Friday from 9am-4pm. The non-profit invites locals to attend a free event on Friday, October 28th at the Salisbury City Park for “Light the River”. This event will honor breast cancer survivors and their families with a special luminary presentation on the river. The Walk for Awareness Awards presentation will take place that evening as well.
