State Superintendent

Mardela Middle and High School welcomed State Superintendent of Schools Dr. Karen B. Salmon for the school's Maryland College Application Campaign events on Oct. 18. Mardela staff and students did a great job of sharing how the school supports students and families in preparing for the next step after high school graduation.

At Wicomico High School, interested seniors sat down for interviews with Salisbury University Admissions staff during on-site admissions day. That afternoon, school administrators, guidance staff and SU Admissions visited classrooms to give students the good news that they had been admitted on the spot. See it happen in this heartwarming video.

If the governor has mandated classes start after labor day. Why are they drafting a calendar starting before labor day? Once again the local boe can't do what is right.

After hearing people fussing, the local districts can request a waiver from this mandate.
