District Court Judge Gerald Purnell agreed with the prosecution on Tuesday in Snow Hill that there was enough evidence against Worcester County Deputy Fire Marshal Rodney Sharpley, 54, of Pocomoke City, to remand the case to Circuit Court.
Sharpley is facing charges, including a felony, stemming from an incident in late June that ended with him allegedly pointing a handgun at both a uniformed, on-duty Pocomoke City Police Officer and the juvenile daughter of Sharpley’s live-in girlfriend.
According to testimony, Sharpley was ordered several times by police to drop the weapon before complying.
Officer Thomas testified that after police identified themselves to Sharpley, he held them and the juvenile at gunpoint for 10 seconds.

What's with this crap? Do you have to have some kind of special status to be permitted to own firearms? Am I missing something about the 2ns Amendment?
Did you not read where it stated that he "Pointed" the gun at a uniformed police officer and his step daughter. Sounds like your missing your brain or 5th grade reading skills.
"and at about midnight that evening conducted a welfare check at the residence where both Sharpley and the juvenile’s mother live."
WTF are the police doing a welfare check at midnight?
Because 911 was called...wish they would release the whole story in these BS press releases.
What are you missing. 911 tells police go to address check on welfare make sure everything is ok. Not hard to figure out.
Why are the police doing a check on welfare? Think you could ask judge Purnel.

But 911 didn't know the address so how could they tell them to go do a welfare check. Also I don't think it is in 911s charter to tell the police to do a welfare check. Now the police might have shown up at the address in response to the original 911 call, in which they should have knocked on the door and explained why they were there and then things should have proceeded from there.
The neighbors witnessed her run out the House down the drive way crying and screaming. They then called the police, and were dispatched to his residence where the officers met with his step daughter at the end of the driveway.
That thin blue line? Where is it? This dude was already a target of police! Held at gun point for 10 seconds my ass! They would've killed him! It all stinks to high heaven! Guaranteed lies and a conspiracy by police! God I pray this good ol system is stopped here with this case!
