Maryland's School Bus Laws
Maryland State Police would like to give you a visual of Maryland’s school bus law! Obey this law, our future scholars are depending on you to do your part!
hmmmm. is the law different in De.? I thought a turn lane acted as a barrier. and I wouldn't want my kid walking across 4 lanes whether or not they are stopped or not. shouldn't bus drivers only drop off and pick up on the same side of roadway as travel and eliminating any need for kids to cross in front of traffic?
Since this is just an exercise that proceeds enforcement and citations, I have a suggestion. Next, the MSP can remind everyone of the pedestrian laws that are in place to protect our future scholars. We are depending on the MSP to do their part, which means education and enforcement of pedestrian laws, especially when those future scholars are disregarding the rules of the roads.
