Video shows people swimming in Baltimore Inner Harbor waters

Ships, cigarette butts, trash, human waste and even dead bodies have been known to float through Baltimore's Inner Harbor waters, but this month, some brave souls and apparent tourists decided to willingly dive in.

A Youtube video posted on July 14 shows at least 15 people jumping in and taking dips in the harbor as many Baltimoreans look on, many of them with their phones out filming and screaming in disgust.

"They're from Chicago," said one onlooker. "They don't know no better."

Randallstown resident Jamone McKenzie, 20, captured the video and posted it under his Youtube username "Milksquad Psycho" with the caption, "These guys decided to think jumping in the inner harbor water was fun, but little do they know that the water is crawling with diseases!!!!!"

Dave T: Very sad indeed of how common and acceptable it has become that we pollute our waterways. Wake up America !

You can't sit by the water in Baltimore. Trash and other debris floating. The smell is enough yet these fools swim in it.

The Wicomico River is so bad you don't need to live by the water to know it, or boat on the water, crab in the water, water ski etc. you get it. But why do people frequent restaurants on the water like Market Street or Bru River when you can walk to the door or deck out back and see dead critters float by and not loose your appetite. You can just ride by PRMC and look to your right at Market Street's deck to see the trash and dead animals (rats) float by, I have never understood after the first time of see this was my last time.

After their swim, their flesh was pealing and blistered, the males had their penises shrivel and fall off.

There needs to be signs for tourists, there used to be and probably still is hypodermic needles floating from drug addicts putting them in sewers..and trash, dead body's rotting, dead seagulls and fish. I grew up there and everyone is told never to swim any where not completely rural.(eastern shore or western mountains) Everyone knows the rivers and bays are disgusting near the urban areas. So gross.
