A Viewer Writes: MORE PHONE & NOW MAIL SCAM

Joe - Whenever the scams are running again in this area I try to let you and everyone that reads your blog.

This past Tues I got the IRS scam again telling me to reply immediately or face finds-this you have run before. Contact IRS this address--www.IRS.Gov. Att: Treasure Inspector General, 589 Penn Franklin Station 20044 PH 800-366-4484.

Today Thursday I received in the mail (new one) yellow post card no return address top of card SPECIAL NOTICE: Medicare and Insurance Information, DELIVER EXCLUSIVELY TO _______________ your name and address- Noted on front of card Claims Document REGISTERED TO __________________THAT ADDRESS OF YOURS. at the bottom of the card WARNING $2,000.00 FINE AND OR 5 YEARS IMPRISONMENT FOR ANY PERSON INTERFERING OR OBSTRUCTING WITH DELIVERY OF THIS LETTER. us Mil Security 170:8 , URGENT ON BACK READ IMMEDIATELY- delivered by the Pain Center (no address) WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO REACH YOU REGARDING YOUR ELIGIBILITY FOR A PROVEN MEDICARE AND INSURANCE BACK SUPPORT SYSTEM
STATUS : PENDING -PENDING ELIGIBILITY BACK SUPPORT SYSTEM (VERIFY BY PHONE. BACK SUPPORT SYSTEM APPROVED BY MEDICARE AND INSURANCE THEN IT LISTS WHAT THE BACK BRACE MAY DO FOR YOU LISTS 6 ITEMS . GIVES TOLL FREE # TO CALL 1-855-419-0028. RELEASE CODE ON BOTTOM TMA6454672 CLAIM DEADLINE 8/17/2016. 

It all looks very authentic, but has nothing specific no ins ID or policy numbers or real name of company and no address. What they want everyone to do is give out your insurance info , including your personal info( not to bill your insurance) for anything you may purchase but to send false claims in so that they get any $- and to do with your info anything they want, hack into more info on you and your family and they can also sell the info to another scam person . I am sending this info to the proper authorities and hope your readers do the same.

This is a targeted extension of those stupid knee brace and back brace commercials being run on local TV. This mailing targets the elderly and those who don't carefully read their mail.

As soon as I get one of those stupid mailers it goes in the recycle bin, unopened.
