VA to Consider Providing Gender Confirmation Surgery

The Department of Veterans Affairs is looking into changing regulations so that VA hospitals can provide gender-confirming surgery, which alters a transgender person's sexual characteristics to match the person's gender identity, according to the Washington Post.

The Post noted that a document on a government regulations site that the VA is proposing to remove a rule that prohibits the surgery.

There are an estimated 134,000 transgender veterans or retirees in the National Guard or the Reserves, according to a study by the Williams Institute, a UCLA think tank. 15,500 transgender people are on active duty in the Guard or Reserves, according to the study.

The VA document said that "increased understanding" suggests that the VA changes its rule that the surgery is not deemed medically necessary.

Those pukes need to worry about the soldiers who need actual medical care! And have real mental problems! Not the soldiers who should've been raised better!

Uh, gender confirmation happens ONCE in a lifetime. At birth.
It's really funny to see how liberal sicko's twist the English language and co-opt (or shall we say corrupt) words to conform to their
agenda promoting their illness.
Now, as far as the V.A. Involved in this? Maybe they should perform brain activity confirmation surgery on the politicos and officers that would consider this proposition.

Gender-change procedures are not critical for the health of veterans. Taxpayers' money needs to be spent caring for the wounded veterans who have fought in wars and those who were trained and stood ready to protect our country whenever and wherever needed. I hope all those who agree would take time to contact the VA and voice your opinion, either through phone calls, letters, or e-mails.

When Veterans can't get regular healthcare in a timely fashion, why would this even be a conversation? This is yet another preposterous idea by the unhinged, out of touch liberal base in this country. This is also a lion's share of the country's problem right now. Too much ideology not enough practical solutions to real issues.

WTF is happening to my country???

This is a serious mental illness that needs to be addressed and addressed soon. Anyone that thinks gay sex, same sex marriage and or gender identity reassignment is normal has a serious mental problem. These people, especially the Democrats who thinks this is normal needs to be rounded up and institutionalized. These people are very sick and need help. That is why it was classified and a mental disorder in the DSM!!!
