Troopers Find Nearly 1,000 Pounds Of Pot In U-Haul Van

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) — Two men were arrested when troopers found nearly 1,000 pounds of marijuana in the back of a U-Haul van during a traffic stop on Interstate 95 in Cecil County Monday night, authorities said.

Troopers stopped the van on the northbound exit ramp from I-95 to southbound Route 279 just after 8 p.m. for an unspecified traffic violation, according to the Maryland State Police.

After noticing something wasn’t right, a trooper brought out a drug-sniffing dog, which alerted to the presence of drugs, police said. A subsequent search of the vehicle found approximately 938 pounds of marijuana in the cargo hold.

The pot was confiscated and perhaps their largest for the area.

“We’re thinking it probably is the largest, if not it’s definitely up there,” said Lt. Danile Everett, Maryland State Police JFK Highway Barrack. ” The estimated street value is $5,000 a pound.

So many lives have been saved from overdosing on this deadly drug. Hope they get live in prison for spreading this poison in our state. Sarcasm: "I that that sh!t on everything."

One day after the Supreme Court has rendered the 4th Amendment null and void.

I'm sure they were just planning to tend to those needing medicinal care for real or imagined boo-boos. Not!

Good job, law enforcement!

10:06, make sure your tin foil hat is secured on your head so they can't monitor your thoughts also!

Be sure to be downwind when they torch this lot.

But if they were driving the truck for Mathias it would be a legitimate business. Look at all these local level politicians setting up for Marijuana grow operations while they still continue to throw their constituents in prison. Everyone in the whole damn government should be tried under RICO and be thrown into prison.

But grow houses are being set up an some already in operation with amounts that make this seizure look like a bag of skittles! Only the government can deal drugs!

1:45 I posted on how the good job law enforcement post was sure to be put up! Don't know why it didn't make it up. How is it so? Not a damn reason one to pull this van over! Regardless of what's found! Your a sickening part of the destruction of this countries foundation! If police arent stopped from illegal searches now then at what point will it escalate to random searches of all vehicles and property? What happens when they succeed in a weapons ban and start a confiscation, kicking in every door in America? Will it be good work law enforcement then? You must be one of the governments tools.
