Maryland manufacturer expands, will create new jobs on Eastern Shore

Maryland based armored systems manufacturer, Hardwire LLC, will create 20 new jobs over the next three years following an expansion of their operations, state officials said Tuesday.

Gov. Larry Hogan visited the headquarters in Pocomoke City to congratulate Hardwire and encourage job growth on the Eastern Shore.

“We are committed to economic prosperity in all regions of Maryland, and today we celebrate the growth of a very important company in Worcester County and in Pocomoke City,” Hogan said in a release.

Hardwire manufactures products and armor protection for military and police vehicles, aircraft, boats and more. Their products are also used for commercial vehicles and U.S. transportation infrastructure, for upgrading of bridges and buildings and for reinforcing flooring.

Thanks Governor Hogan - Open for Business is in fact a true statement.

Memories of the previous Governor - businesses fleeing the state for a better environment.

Yes, we still have some work to do - reducing the sales and use tax to previous levels - and eliminating the specific alcohol tax - but we'll take it one step at a time!

I love Hardwire and good for them and to those who will get these much needed jobs. I now wish we could get some manufacturing jobs down here and across the whole country that don't rely so heavily on government contracts.

Well 20 new jobs is good. We need about 20,000 more new jobs.

20 jobs to extremly clean records and who can get a security clearance! I wanna see these jobs available for the welfare crowd! The ghetto bunnies and thugs! Jobs that will truly help our area! Thousands of jobs have been created across the bridge! Same in the mountains. 20 here on the shore should be an embarrassment!

20 new jobs here are about as good as we can hope for, now we need to find 20 people willing to get out of bed and fill those jobs

20 jobs is newsworthy, seriously? It is 20 jobs over 3 years, they could get that many with retirements and deaths!
