OCPD Seeking Assistance in Construction Equipment Theft Case


OCEAN CITY, MD – (February 4, 2016): The Ocean City Police Department Criminal Investigation Division is requesting assistance in an investigation involving the theft of a large piece of construction equipment.
On January 5, 2016, officers responded to 11427 Coastal Highway, the parking lot of the Gold Coast Mall, in reference to a report of malicious destruction of property. Officers met with the victim, an employee of an asphalt maintenance company, who stated that the front door to a Bobcat brand skid-steer loader and a breaker attachment had been stolen from the job site the night before.
The victim believed the theft occurred sometime between 7 p.m. on January 4 and 6:30 a.m. on January 5. The breaker is a Stanley brand Model #MB05 and a sticker was attached that read “Image Asphalt Maintenance Inc.” with the company logo. The breaker weighs approximately 550 pounds. The serial number is #060112006.
