THE CRIMEROADS OF DELMARVA

Let me fill you in on a little secret. While we do our very best to bring you up to date information on crime on a daily basis, trust me, we're not being told everything. Quite frankly, you should be scared, even in your own homes.

While Liberals are doing their very best to try to take away your guns, Salisbury is the perfect example of how we Americans should have every right to defend ourselves.

Let's just look at the last two days.

7-11 robbed
Domino's Pizza robbed
McDonald's robbed
Shooting investigation
Shoplifting reports like there's no tomorrow
Unattended death investigation

Now this is what we KNOW. How many press releases, (seriously) have we delivered showing you all of the bank robbers who have been caught robbing all the Banks in Salisbury, ONE? He was a teenager. It seems to me Salisbury is the best place to commit a crime.

New Mayor, same Police Chief, same results. Each and every one of you need to look at the Chamber of Commerce and ALL of the businesses that continue to support and endorse the leadership you've had for the past 25 years. I mean, really, how's it working for you people?

Or perhaps now you'll realize that this is exactly the environment they want to put you in while these very same people live OUTSIDE the City of Salisbury and know that most of the crime is at night, so they are safe during the day while they're running their businesses.

You know what's really sad though. You people can't even stand up for yourselves. You sit back like little puppets and watch these special interests tear apart everything you've ever worked for your entire lives and then bitch and complain about Obama and Hillary. You sit on the fire escape and watch the world go by while all these people take every penny you've earned and laugh at you when you turn your backs and walk out the door.

"It was your election to lose", think long and hard about that because their only answer is, oh no, crime is actually down. Remember people, you actually believe them.

It is very frustrating to see what's happening in Salisbury and most of the country. Having said that I will take it step further , I put most of the blame on our judicial system. The lawyers , the judges are a joke. Unless you have a murder rap , it's put on a stet docket or probation. Criminals don't mind a few days in jail , they call it a rest period and laugh about it.
The cops know this , the leaders also know. We have laws that should be enforced. The sentencing process has changed to suit the lawyer.
If you want to argue these facts , do it , maybe I'm wrong.
There is absolutely no respect for law anymore , from the president down to your mayor etc..

Crime around here is abysmal and there is nothing the police chief has ever done about it--she is a die hard liberal who feels sorry for the criminals--nothing will change her--

She so needs to be fired--but won't happen--truly not sure why

point - TWO 7-11's were robbed

Well why don't you and others address the real problem and stop blaming it on Jay and Duncan. The problem is simply black crime, black deviancy, and black disrespect for anything civilized.

Why don't you rant and rail about the lack of leadership from the BLACK community, BLACK churches, and so-called BLACK leadership and call them out on not condemning what is a black problem? Blaming "the past 25 years of leadership" is just dodging the elephant in the room which is reverse racism, sense of entitlement, lack of two MARRIED households with valuves, and a genreal malaise within society. Huh? how about telling it like it really is.

Everyone agrees on it in private but no one will address it for fear of attack. No, its not Day or Duncan or Chamber of Commerce, it is the crime infested, drug addled, don't give a damn subgroup of blacks. Something your blog should be addressing instead of the convenient attack on those who can't do a damn thing about it until the black community rises up and says "enough".

Our public schools are no better in terms of unpunished serious offenses. Joe, do you know exactly what legal issues the Department of Justice is said to have with Wicomico County Public Schools? It might be something about the percentage of African Americans in the population compared to the percentage suspended.

I don't believe them & I didn't vote for any of them. What else, pray are we to do?

7:26, So you're suggesting all of the crime in Salisbury are blacks? If that is what you are trying to say, you are wrong.

ALL parents need to understand that we have all become too soft. It seems everyone has an excuse and all too often after the fact.

I hear all too often, I want my kids to have all the things I never had when I was a child. ALL parents should have sent their kids out to shovel every senior citizen driveway for FREE. ALL able kids should have been out shoveling driveways for $10.00 bucks or so to earn the things they want.

Certainly that is not the answer to crime but it's a start. Paying it forward is an incredible thing. Especially if it's a PARENT telling their children this is what they need to do, instead of a Judge.

It starts at home, it really does. Teachers can ask, who helped out their neighbor after it snowed. It could encourage others to participate in a positive way. Think about it. How often does it snow here. It's a small example of how rewarding doing good things for others can be.

Political corruption in this county has been rampant for years. Those in leadership positions, elected and employees, have manipulated the system to their advantage. Was hoping Culver would expose what he has found so all the public would know just how entrenched the abusers have been, all at the expense of the taxpayers. No wonder people are moving out of the County in droves. If more people could get the value out of their homes, the exodus would be mind blowing. City of Salisbury is the armpit of Maryland and is bringing the County down even further...if that is possible!

The white trash and heroin addicts are just as much part of the problem as the AA community. It is unfair to simply say it is a black issue. When one of my houses was broken into and robbed, it was white trash (born heres BTW). Police did nothing, I investigated, found items at pawn shop, handed the info to the police and SA filed charges but didn't prosecute even with prior criminal history. It is a joke.

7:26 - All leaders must come together and that starts with the Mayor and city council, along with police chief and other community leaders. The mayor certainly shares the blame. Look at cities across the country. It is the leadership that determines the crime rate. Hell - look at the president - he is a fine example of poor leadership that has caused chaos.

A culture of entitlement is hard to change. No wonder Trump is so popular. More and more people are not willing "to take it anymore"!

Anonymous said...

Looks to me like you're accusing Chief Duncan of lying to the FBI about crime stats. Better have some good data to back up those assertions, Mr. 69/31...

Anonymous said...

The only demographic groups totally responsible for the decline in all aspects of American culture/society are progressive liberals.

JoeAlbero said...

8:04, It looks like, (to me) you are putting words in peoples mouths.

Anonymous said...

When will people realize that the root cause is drugs. How many more heroin overdoses will it take to understand heroin is causing most of the criminal activity in Salisbury. Last week alone there were more than 20 overdoses and one death in Salisbury. This isn't about demographics its about drugs, drugs, drugs! Wake up people!

And don't forget about the rash of little thugs running amuck in the area just north of SU.

It's a shame when someone puts up a perfectly good comment but then throws in curse words and we have to reject it. Take out the curse words and we'll publish it. We will reject all comments with curse words and by now all of you should know that.

Just to clue you shorons in an unattended death is not a crime.....

Anonymous said...

7:55 The born here white trash crowd know people... their parents friends who are in law enforcement, or judges, or attorneys who get their charges swept under the rug. Goes on all the time, and it will never change.

It looks like (To me) your doing the same?.

Lol data that she fudges

Anonymous said...

Don't know much about the robberies , but I do know there are a lot of residential burglaries in and around town and are happening more frequently. Most seem to be for drug money and almost always during the day.

Joe, I couldn't agree with you more! I don't always see eye to eye with you politically, but when you're right you're right. And when someone disagrees with you and expresses that respectfully, you are equally respectful. That's why I keep reading your blog. Not a republican yet though. Lol,

It has to do with Obama's "executive order" a couple years ago, that requires blacks not be suspended proportionately more often than white kids, even if they commit more offenses. Schools are supposed to pretend black kids aren't more violent, aggressive, and that they don't misbehave any more than whites. It was some nonsense about "Excellence in Education for AA's", an "executive order" him and Sharpton cooked up.

Anonymous said...

They are a problem, no doubt about it. But AA's are far more violent and commit more crimes per their population.

Anonymous said...

What do you base "their were more than 20 overdoses in Salisbury and one death" Where are your facts?

Anonymous said...

The fact is Salisbury is dying much like cancer. It is a slow agonizing death. It is truly sad. I would say the overall running of government for the past twenty years has contributed most. The loss of good solid employment is a key issue.

Funny thing all this black and white trash talking is not going to fix anything. Blacks and Whites seemed to get along here on the shore fine till Barrack got elected. There will be racism no matter where you go. There are as many racist on both sides trust. If you do not like me because I am white your loss. Read the book before you judge it.

In the county it is white crime. In the city it is black crime. Crime is crime. People knock the cops when the do the job. They knock the cops when they don't do the job. Lets face it no one is happy.

This area is still small enough to make a difference. I say be prejudice against criminals. Time for the liberals to STFU and let people with a spine start cleaning house. If everyone made it unbearable on criminals they would get the point. Stop enabling bad children. My God bad kids grow up to be bad adults. Time to take the gloves off America.

Oh there is a paper trail, babs just doesn't know it. Someone has been keeping copies.

Anonymous said...

Doesn't Salisbury fall within Wicomico County? If I'm paying both city and county taxes, shouldn't this also be a county problem too? I mean I'm paying two taxes.

Anonymous said...

Look at the city government and go from there. The top administrative position was given ti friend not the most qualified. How could the city justify hus employment with being dishonorably discharged for drug use, failing a drug test while supervising city construction crew only to be rewarded the top job of city administrator. Mayor Day wants to continue beating a dead horse and renovate downtown, how about using funding to fight the outbreak of robberies and possibly go on the offense with all the overdoses in the city. Tired of watching these guys use salisbury briefly to pursue future political aspirations. vurious to see where Day ends up house or senate?? Sorry to say salisbury we're nothing but a pawn to these clowns in city government

Anonymous said...

Oh, hell, yeah, you can blame the mayor, Mayor I-don't-wanna-talk-about-crime-cuz-it's-negative Jake Day.

No sympathy for Salisbury. You elected him.

Crime is not down, crime numbers are down, who reports the numbers? Ask around of people who reported a crime and were only given a case number for insurance purposes; those crimes were not investigated or reported. Burglaries are recoded as lesser mdop, robberies as thefts... The list of fuzzy numbers goes on and on. Keep drinking the kool aid sheeple.

Anonymous said...

Let's not forget the murder that wasn't reported as such where a subject being pursued was forced to jump into the wicomico and drowned.

Anonymous said...

I thought the crystal ball they bought for sees crime before it happens?

Thank you 7:55! Contrary to popular belief on the shore, there are just as many white scumbags out here among us in the community.I don't know the statistics on race and crime but to blame one segment of the population is foolhardly. How about the rich slumlords who destroyed once stable neighborhoods block by block, which they profit handsomely from? How about the parents of these budding criminals, who are not on their kids ass everyday to attend school,be respectful to adults and be off the streets by 7pm on school nights? We can also blame the lack of discipline in schools or growing up poor but that does nothing to address the crime and Ireton has failed to deliver on his vow to lower crime.
