79-Year-Old Calls Police, Says He Hasn’t Eaten in Two Days. The Response From Officers ‘Shocked’ Him

A 79-year-old Tennessee man was stunned by how members of his local police department responded over the weekend when he dialed 911 because he hadn’t eaten in two days.

WKRN-TV reported that the man, who asked the station to remain anonymous, hadn’t been able to eat after a caretaker allegedly stole his debit card the weekend before.

The 79-year-old called police for help on Saturday night — and their response is now getting national attention.

Now, think to yourselves, would our men in blue do that here in Salisbury?

Really think about it. I can't say they would and that's a scary thought.

This is a stupid comment...there are many resources in this town to help those who need it but it seems that some people think there is never enough for free. What would be nice is to hear someone say thank you, I appreciate all the community does do to help. As for the police officers and whether they would do something like this ...I am sure some already have dug in their own pockets but just don't ask for the fame that goes along with it. Regardless they have families to feed too and with all the free resources they shouldn't have to support the community out of their pay any more than you should dig in your pocket. This was an act of kindness and deserved a positive comment not a negative one putting down our local police, You are exactly what is wrong with the world. Stop looking for the negative in positive situations and the world will be a better place.

Here is a thought, Don't praise cops when they do ONE ACT OF KINDNESS when all we see other wise is acts of UNKINDNESS!!! This is the same exact stuff they should be doing but don't PERIOD!!!!!!

As you told one poster, you are exactly what is wrong with this world, you think ONE GOOD DEED will wipe away a life time of crime or corruption or abuse or murder or anything else these cops do today and get away with it!!!

You people have a one tract mind and a memory like a gold fish...

You seem angry which one of your relatives is completely innocent and sitting in prison because the police arrested them for doing absolutely nothing wrong...Yes our prisons are over run with innocent people...we should free them all because people our good and police are bad. Yada Yada ...same old story that fits a narrow minded narrative.

9:35.... your comment would carry more weight if the government (the one you cheer) hadn't already released HUNDREDS of innocent people, based on the DNA evidence. Many were from death row, where people like you were happy to see the government take someone's life, innocent or not.
you don't have to have a "relative in prison" to criticize the cops for putting 17 rounds into a 12 year old kid with an AIR SOFT RIFLE, or shooting an old man RUNNING AWAY FROM YOU.
Just keep cheering.
