The eastern shore is a joke they shut down schools at a dusting of snow and there excuse is safety? Give me a break you bunch of rednecks.
Don't like our Eastern Shore? We have bridges off, that moving vans can cross. Been here all my 78 years and if you don't like us and "our way" perhaps it is time for you to take one of our bridges to a new location.
With all them big ole 4 wheel drove trucks and mommies driving SUVs, they could take them to school on snows days. I remember riding the bus to school when the driver could not see the lines on the road due to snow - on the way into school.
The problem is the good ole boys on the redneck shore don't want to get up out of there cozy pu truck to go to work you fools wouldn't last a week up north.
It isn't the snow that worries the school districts so much as the lawsuits that will follow if anything should happen.
With a quarter inch of snow, the fender bender rate on Delmarva goes up 2000%.
You who call us rednecks because they close school for a little snow can kiss my black hiney.
They are afraid the kids will be cold or fall on the ice. The kids will be fine as long as their parents buy them appropriate winter clothes and boots. The parents evidently weren't taught to "be prepared" for anything.
I remember several times John Fredericksen canceled school for the next day and it never snowed or rained. I personally complained every time there as a rain, snow or ice delay. I also complain about the heat. It's not that hot in school and when you cancel school for anything the kids are out playing in it anyway so what is the person.

7:31, sounds like you got too many snow days as well. It's "their" not "there". You should probably cease making comments on any post regarding education, if you can't do better than that.
