Accused: Daquan Tymar Mills ( 08/25/1992 )
Charges: Possession Hangun
On 11/23/2015 at 0106 hrs, TFC Marshall was conducting traffic enforcement on Rt 113 @ Nock Landing Rd. At that time, he observed a vehicle that appeared to be traveling above the posted speed limit of 45 mph. After obtaining a digital reading of 58 mph in the 45 zone he initiated a traffic stop on a gray Chrysler passenger bearing MD registration. Upon making contact with the driver, Marshall observed several criminal indicators at which time a K9 scan was completed with a positive alert. Marshall subsequently performed a search of the vehicle. During the search, he located a chrome plated .380 Davis Industries handgun. The handgun had a loaded magazine containing 5 cartridges. The suspect, Daquan Mills was subsequently placed under arrest. The Maryland Gun Center was contacted who advised the gun was not registered to Mills and Mills is a convicted felon and prohibited from owning or possessing a firearm.
Mills was arrested and charged with several weapons violation, the most significant being, Illegal possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Mills was taken before a District Commissioner

If Obama had a son. Again. They just don't understand how to follow the rules. They don't understand how to follow directions or commands. Yet it's always someone else's fault that they don't have a job or its the neighborhood. I guess 20 years behind bars he'll be able to get a free education then teach at the U of MD.
Example of why not to have any contact with law enforcement. Traffic stops have become the new stop and frisk but done with dogs.

what criminal indicators? did he have the k-9 with him or did he have to wait for it to be brought out? the search is illegal unless he had reasonable suspicion, NOT 'indicators', whatever that may mean. and it is illegal to delay the traffic stop, which was for speeding, unless suspicion of criminal activity is noted during said stop.

I couldn't care less. YOU commit three felonies a day and don't even realize it. There are many different types of felonies, not all are violent. If someone has paid 'their debt to society' why punish them for the rest of their lives? You think only people with felonies commit crimes or use weapons? How many of these people who commit supposedly 'mass shootings' obtained their guns legally, and had no felony?
No one starts off in life a felon. They commit some crime and then are labeled as such. Not all felons live a life of crime. Everybody has a right to defend themselves, their families and their property. Even felons.
The second amendment says 'shall not be infringed'. It does not say anything about except this group or that group. (many, if not all, of our founding fathers, would be barred from owning a firearm in today's world).
I'm not worried about any inanimate object, or any label attached to anyone. The heart is what drives people to make good or bad decisions. In today's climate, one is just as likely to be killed by a cop as by anyone who is considered a felon. And the cop will most likely get away with it as we have seen.
It's just a backdoor way of imposing more gun control, and it is fairly recent. And what purpose does it serve anyway? It certainly doesn't stop any 'felon' from obtaining a gun if they want one, it just may add more time in prison for them, IF they get caught. It may stop them from buying a gun 'legally', but not from buying one altogether.
There are bigger issues and reasons for this type of 'divide and conquer' tactics. A felon with a gun can save your life just as easily as a 'lawful citizen' can end it with a gun. It makes no difference and it makes no sense.

So you think it's ok for this criminal thug to be carrying a loaded .308 on him. Why do you think it's loaded? He wasn't using it for self defense. He intended to kill a cop or an innocent person.
Do you know what kind of hole a .308 will put in you? It will put a hole in your chest big enough to put your fist through. If it hit your head chances are you wouldn't be identified.

I don't have any criminal behavior and I don't hate cops. I do however believe in personal liberty and limited government. And I believe you belong to one of the governmental agencies that violate both of those. And in your rush to pop off you misidentified the .380 as a .308 and then you suggest it wasn't used for defense because it was loaded.
I can understand the first mistake, but the second is just plain stupidity. As most of your attempted arguments are. A .380 is of a smaller caliber (.38) of ammunition. It makes for a nice defensive weapon especially in the smaller handguns called 'pocket pistols'. It will hardly create an entry wound as large as anyone's fist unless they are a toddler perhaps. And I doubt anyone would have trouble identifying anyone shot in the head with one.
I don't know about you or others, but I would rather read (and write) a long paragraph based on facts than any short story filled with errors and misinformation. But that's just me, you obviously have no qualms about it.

Actually that came from the USSC in Rodriguez v. United States. But I am sure they would welcome any insight you may have on the matter to correct their mistake.

1:51 Unless you are meeting Daquan in a parking lot to buy drugs, odds are you will never come in contact with him. Let me rephrase that, I would never come in contact with him. He's not in my circle of peers. I don't care what he does. I'd rather not have every traffic offense in this state turned into an excuse to do a warrantless search of vehicles by a dog which an officer can say "hit" on something and now has probable cause to search. Giving up your rights one by one....
