Unidentified Body Found Along I-95 Near White Marsh

(KINGSVILLE, MD) Maryland State Police homicide investigators are conducting a detailed examination of a wooded area along the JFK Memorial Highway where an unidentified body was found earlier today in Baltimore County.

Shortly after 12:00 p.m., troopers from the John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway Barrack received a call from a member of the Maryland Transportation Authority Courtesy Patrol advising a body was lying in a wooded area along the fire service road near the 70.7 mile marker. Troopers immediately responded and found the body of a white male lying on the ground. The area was immediately secured and notification was made to investigators.

Maryland State Police Homicide Unit responded and has assumed the investigation. They are being assisted by members of the Criminal Enforcement Division and troopers from the JFK Highway Barrack. Crime scene technicians have also responded to assist with the collection of evidence. Investigators are unable to identify the remains at this time.
The body will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of death. Investigators are contacting area police departments as well as those in other states in an attempt to identify the victim. Information has been communicated to police departments throughout the region and requests have been made to check missing person files for potential persons matching the currently available information.
