Most Popular Halloween Candy To Hand Out In Maryland

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Handing out candy this Halloween? If you live in Maryland, a new survey suggests offering up Almond Joy, if you want your house to be the most popular among trick-or-treaters.

Influenster, a social media website for shoppers, asked 40,000 of its users about their favorite candy, and released a colorful map showing each state’s top choice.

Almond Joy was also the favorite in New Hampshire.

In Delaware it’s 3 Musketeers, in Virginia Reese’s Pieces and in West Virginia it’s Oreos.

Twix was the pick in the nation’s capital — Washington, D.C.

Almond Joy? Says who?

The adults handing out the candy!? A lot of kids hate coconut as well as regular nuts.

And aren't most of the little darlings "allergic" to nuts nowadays?

Yet I don't hear of them fainting over, after eating Reese's Pieces or cups.

Judging from the reactions and the trading and so on, I'd say Butterfingers, M&M's and Reese's are far more popular, along with regular Hershey Bars.

Most of us, including kids, dislike "candy corn", but the most disgusting other than black licorice in my opinion) has got to be the hated "circus peanuts".

The little individually wrapped "flavored" tootsie rolls usually get tossed out after a while. They aren't worth much for trading, if you want something good instead.
