Cleta Mitchell: DOJ Probe of IRS Abuses Was a 'Sham'

The Department of Justice investigation into IRS abuses against conservative tax-exempt groups was a "sham," Cleta Mitchell, lawyer for one of those groups, tells Newsmax TV.

The DOJ announced last week it would not pursue criminal charges against former IRS official Lois Lerner. Mitchell has sued on behalf of True the Vote and its president Catherine Engelbrecht.

"I don't think they did a real investigation," Mitchell said Monday on "Newsmax Prime." "They never interviewed any of the victims. To my knowledge they did not interview a single victim of the IRS targeting."

With Eric holder involved in ANY investigation is a SHAM. The DOJ under this president is an embarrassment. They are supposed to protect us from government fraud not implement it. Holder should be investigated and put in jail.

The Department of Justice??? Not in this administration.
More like a department of "we got your back if you do anything to our enemies". Isn't THAT one of the hallmarks of a "regime" than a republic?
TWO SETS OF LAWS.
They have turned their back on more crime than they have prosecuted.
And they still think deserve your respect.
Keep cheering.
