The Autumn Wine Festival Goes Pink for Women Supporting Women

Salisbury, MD – The Maryland Wineries Association (MWA) has announced its Autumn Wine Festival is turning pink in support of Women Supporting Women (WSW). The festival, which will take place at Pemberton Historical Park in Salisbury, Md. on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18 has been held in conjunction with Wicomico County’s Tourism Division for the past twelve years.

This year, Women Supporting Women, a locally-based non-profit, which strives to provide awareness, education and support to those affected by breast cancer will join the partnership. “As this festival evolves, it allows the Maryland Wineries Association to broaden its reach,” explains MWA Marketing Programs Manager Kelly Dudeck. “This year, we are very proud to partner with Women Supporting Women - an organization making huge strides for the entire Delmarva area.”

Upon entering Pemberton Park’s clamshell road, attendees will be greeted with breast cancer awareness themed decorations. “Women Supporting Women is very excited about the new joint venture, and we look forward to turning the Autumn Wine Festival ‘pink’ this year in support of breast cancer awareness,” shared Executive Director Susan Revelle.

Each guest will receive a complimentary pink ribbon to wear at the entrance. A clean bra and $1 will enable guests to take part in the ceremonial ‘Hanging of the Bras.’ Inside the festival, guests can visit the WSW ‘Drink Pink’ station to enjoy a glass or bottle of pink Maryland wine. Bra Pong will be available for $5 and pocket change can further support the cause through ‘Change for Jugs.’ In memory and in honor cards will also be available for $1. On Sunday, WSW will host a special mosaic wine stopper painting class at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The Autumn Wine Festival offers the perfect opportunity to explore a variety of Maryland wine from one location. Over 20 wineries are anticipated this year, offering unlimited samplings. Wine connoisseurs and first time samplers alike enjoy the annual festival, which features live music, the weekend’s biggest games in the Sports Zone, regional cuisine and craft vendors. Tickets are available, with early bird pricing of $25 valid through Sunday, October 11 at 6 p.m. Those interested in a more intimate experience can upgrade their tickets to receive the VIP treatment on Saturday. The VIP experience offers a covered tent area, reserved parking and private restroom facilities. A limited amount of VIP tickets are available for $55 per person, advance sales only.

This is the biggest joke on women EVER. As a professional woman of 30 years in my field NOT ONE WOMAN HAS EVER HELPED ME, PERIOD!!! Bad enough you have to compete with men but the woman are far worse. I learned long ago watch the woman in your field they will do ANYTHING to discredit you. Rumors, lies, and sabatog your work. Thank GOD I'm smarter than most and played their game that I worked hard and made plenty of money. No thanks to these cut throat phony woman helping woman organizations.

Take it from someone who is currently fighting Stage II Breast Cancer that your comments are totally out of line. This organization is filled with the most caring and PROFESSIONAL women I have ever met. They have helped me both educationally, physically and emotionally. I pray that you never have to go through what I and numerous other women are going through. With your nasty attitude I can see why no one would want to hep you. You know what I will still pray for you.
