Quite obvious the car was at fault.

Against a government vehicle the other is always at fault.

It certainly appears that way at this scene.

The mail vehicle has the "right-of-way" over all other vehicles on the road including police and rescue.

How about getting the DRUNK MAIL CARRIERS OFF PAYROLL! This is not the first time that a mail carrier has been involved in an accident in Parsonsburg! Everytime alcohol has been involved, and the carrier still works for the US MAIL DRIVING!!!!!

Comments or comment? Until you you posted worst I saw was somebody isn't getting their mail today. If your so sick of negative comments, or the truth as most call it, then go visit the fat bloggers site. Plenty of lies there!

It's a fact. Come to a four way stop and even if the mail trucks gets there last ,by law it goes first. Even over you officer. That's right. The mail man is more important than you are to Uncle Sam!

We don't need the post office anymore.

Prayers to the carrier. She was not at fault and is very kind.

the jerk admitted to looking at his phone and crossing the center line. its pretty obvious from the picture that he is the one on the wrong side of the road. the mail carrier was not at fault

Not so funny story about drunk mail carriers - my dad worked for a post office in kent county for 15 years. Battled alcoholism the whole time but the last couple of years he was drinking heavily on the job. People were calling in complaining about not receiving mail, or receiving other peoples mail. Calls about his driving too. After a year or so of this one day his supervisor called my mom and said she needed to come to the post office and get him, he was stumbling around the back parking lot highly intoxicated. At this point they said he wouldn't be allowed back unless he went to rehab. So away he went for 4 weeks. Didn't do any good he was back drinking on the job in a few months. This continued on for over another year until he fell at work hitting his head on a concrete floor and having a seizure. That was pretty much the end of his career there. Want to know why he was never fired for all his screwups? They were afraid of his union and what would happen!! My mom told his supervisor several times to fire him. One day I was home from school sick and he stopped by to take a pee (our house was on his route) and he was stumbling around drunk as hell. I called in an anonymous tip to the state police hoping they'd pull him over but nothing ever came of it. So it seems if you want a job that let's you drink with no repercussions the post office is your best bet.

On a side note, my dads alcoholism broke the family apart. Parents got divorced, sold their awesome house (my mom was the bread winner lol) haven't talked to him in almost 5 years and haven't spoke to my sister in almost 3 because she took his side. Alcoholism is no joke. I grew up getting the crap beat out of me, my mom verbally/physically abused as well as my brother and sister. Pretty sure he poisoned some of the family pets they all seemed to die from the same thing. Don't be afraid to get help if you need it, that goes for the alcoholic, or the innocent family members.

You are right to feel the way you do family or not they are putting their life and others at risk. Stop them before someone is killed, be you family or employer do the right thing.

That's patently false
