The display of the Confederate flag has become a hot topic since an avowed racist was accused of gunning down nine people in a Charleston, South Carolina church last week.
According to the "Baltimore Sun" Jay Barringer, the state commander of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, said he was disappointed that governor Hogan had decided to take what he calls the "low road" and not defend the First Amendment.

Larry Hogan you are the POS I initially thought you were. I voted for David Craig in the Primary, but you slipped through and we had no other choice at this point. I am not a member of the SCV, but this is something you need to think twice about. You ignorant people are to stupid to see that this is the continuing of Americans loosing our personal freedoms due to actions of the left wing nuts.

I am sorry that you have made this decision, the Confederate Flag has been around forever and until one crazy murderer made this connection it was never a problem. First time in my knowledge this whole country has taken sides with a murderer and used it as a reason to not respect the South in the Civil War what's next the Union Jack, the American Flag we all salute to , the right to wear red, white and blue, end Memorial Day, the 4th of July, etc, etc get the point!!

Do I have to give up my Baltimore Oriole license plate because a Yankee fan doesn't like it? It aint gonna happen. Or how about my Purple Heart vanity tag because some liberal didn't believe in I should have been there. This crap is getting out of hand.

A historic tag denotes the age of a vehicle, not any 'history'. Documented or not. Sounds like you just want to be self-important. You didn't drive the wahambulance in ww11 so get off your high horse. Nobody sacrificed for us to write on a blog or anything else. The elite powers that be decided they wanted a war, so they made one. They supplied materials to all sides fighting this war and got richer, just like they always have. You need to study history a little better yourself and get to the real truth instead of being blinded by false patriotism. That in itself is just one more reason for wars.
