Former candidate for Md. House of Delegates charged in theft from school boosters

A Former candidate for delegate has been charged with stealing $17,000 from the North County High School booster club he headed to pay for his campaign and at least one trip to the casino.

Steven Wyatt, 43, of Shipley Road in Linthicum, was charged with 34 counts of theft of less than $1,000, as well as one count each of participating in a theft scheme, embezzlement and making prohibited campaign expenditures, according to online court records.

A summons was filed in District Court against Wyatt on Thursday.

James Keatts, an attorney for Wyatt, said he has not yet reviewed all the evidence in the case. He said the charges have been very difficult for Wyatt and his family.

Politicians!! Is it really that much of a surprise that a chowderhead government official would deceive the public?! It's NEVER about the people anymore. However it is imperative as to the depths of our pockets that matters!! Like I said, politicians!!
