NYPD Officer Who Fatally Choked Eric Garner Wasn't Indicted, Man Who Filmed the Incident Was

On the same day one grand jury decided not to indict officer Daniel Pantaleo in the death of Eric Garner, an unarmed black man who was killed after being put in a chokehold last July, a different jury did indict 22-year-old Ramsey Orta, the man who captured Garner's death on camera.

Orta was charged with weapon possession after being arrested on Aug. 2, less than one month after taping Garner's confrontation with police. As seen in Orta's video, several NYPD officers confront Garner on the street for allegedly selling loose cigarettes. They're then seen bringing Garner to the ground, as Pantaleo places Garner in a chokehold.

According to an SILive.com report, Orta told the Staten Island court that he's being framed by police for capturing Garner's death.

“When they searched me, they didn't find nothing on me,” Orta said after his arrest. “And the same cop that searched me, he told me clearly himself, that karma's a bitch, what goes around comes around.”

this guy was killed by the kops for selling individual cigarettes and not handing over the tax money for them to the government. How many people were killed by the state when wall street pilfered billions and sank the economy? NOT ONE!
This is total BS!

6:57 No, he died because he was a fat MORON, who decided to break the law, and his heart issues and asthma caught up to him.

As far as the ass clown in the story... yeah, OK. Framed... right. GTFOH.

This guy was killed because he resisted arrest and did not respect authority. If he would have listened, and did what he was asked to do, he would not have died.
You bunch of dumbocrat needs to learn about responsibility.

Global warming killed him dammit! get that straight.

MOST people do not respect 'authority' now. Any of you mini-dictators every wonder why?

Resisting arrest is such a generic charge cops use to cover their butt. Haven't any of you ever seen or heard how some cop somewhere has arrested someone on resisting arrest charges but have no legal reason to arrest them in the first place? So how can they be resisting arrest if there is no charge to be arrested for?

More and more it sounds like wor-wic sends their cop candidate students here.

We have an oppression farm right in our backyards wearing their cute little grey uniforms.

You first sentence was :"This guy was KILLED because he resisted arrest and did not respect authority". Didn't know that was ok in America. I'm an educator and I'm disrespected by students. That certainly doesn't give me the right to slap, and certainly not to KILL, them for doing so. Your use of that verb suggests that cops can kill anyone for whatever minor offense they choose. Just goes to show that you're either too racist or too ignorant to get the point! In America this is unacceptable behavior for anyone, especially for those in authority. Thanks for at least acknowledging that he was KILLED!
