Harrington, DE – Troopers are investigating a serious motorcycle crash that occurred just south of Harrington sending two riders to the hospital.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:35 p.m. Saturday October 25, 2014 as Carl W. Miller, 55 of Marydel, DE, was operating a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on South DuPont Highway (US13) in the right lane approaching Williamsville Road. William E. Wooters, 62 of Felton was operating a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound directly behind Miller on US13 in the right lane as well. Miller was able to bring his motorcycle to a controlled stop on the northbound shoulder. No direct contact was made with the unidentified van and it continued northbound on US13 without stopping.

William Wooters and his wife, Mary Ann Wooters, 56 of Felton, were not wearing helmets at the time of the collision and were transported by EMS to Milford Memorial Hospital where she was admitted with undetermined injuries. William Wooters was later flown to Christiana Medical Center where he was admitted with undetermined injuries.
