SBYnews Political Endorsements - Wicomico County Council - Part 2

Joe Holloway - District 5 Wicomico County Council
Joe Holloway is a lifelong residence of Wicomico County.  The editorial staff feels that his prior county council experience and work experience are vital to Wicomico's future.  He ran a Country Store in Parsonsburg for many years - and he continues to operate a small business.  He is cognizant of his core constituency for a limited role of government - while holding the line on tax increases, and restraining local budgets.  We believe that his role as former Council President brings many advantages in that he is sensitive to all citizens - not just a select few.  His strong consensus building attitude will be critical to the new arrivals.  He received our highest 5 star rating among all County Council candidates - in all subject areas.

John Cannon - Wicomico County At Large
John Cannon is also a lifelong residence of Wicomico County and - here again - his prior experience makes him a prime selection.  His core values are rooted in conservatism - in that he believes in a limited government role.  His fiscal growth philosophy is based on 'a rising tide raises all ships'  approach in that the best way to spur revenues is through job generation.  We feel as though Mr. Cannon will make an excellent choice to help lead Wicomico County out of the current financial doldrums.

Marc Kilmer - District 2 Wicomico County Council
We believe that Marc Kilmer will be another fine addition as he also received a 5 star rating.  We feel as though he has a very strong grasp on the current economic pulse of Wicomico County as he has previously attended many county council meetings, public hearings, and has been active in the Central Committee activities.  We also feel as though he possesses very strong leadership skills and will provide a stable influence to those county council members who will be tempted to 'flip flop'.  Our staff gave him a unanimous thumbs-up.

Larry Dodd - District 3 Wicomico County Council
Larry Dodd previously served on the Wicomico County Council - so he already knows about the inner workings of the County Council.  His prior experience puts him in a class by himself because he already knows about the pressures associated with special interest.  We believe he will help to 'gel' the conservative principles.

Matt Holloway - At Large Wicomico County Council
Matt Holloway has already served one term on the Wicomico County Council and his business background puts him in the spotlight in trying to attract new industries to Wicomico County.  As most of the public is aware - the local area workforce numbers are abysmal in that Wicomico has lost jobs for 19 consecutive months.  We believe that with a new County Executive at the helm that he will help to coalesce the conservative group into a positive force.  We therefore give him our 'thumbs-up' endorsement.

Chistopher Adams - Maryland House of Delegates - 37B
Our apologies extend to Mr. Adams as our earlier post erroneously failed to mention our endorsement - but we also give Mr. Adams a very high rating for the House of Delegates seat.  We feel his balance on the environment as well as his economic development emphasis will prove him to be an asset at the political bargaining table.  One of his campaign's focal points is,  'Advocate of a coherent plan for environmental sustainability without hindering robust economic growth and our way of life on the Eastern Shore'.  We therefore give him our endorsement.

We strongly encourage the general public to get out in great numbers to express their desire for all of the above mentioned candidates listed in our slate.  Election day is Tuesday, November 4th and we strongly advise you to participate.

I do not recognize one democratic endorsement. What gives? Surely there is at least one democratic candidate that is worthy of your medias endorsement.

I like them all!

2:56 - I have not found many Democratic candidates that I would give up oxygen for!

There is one democrat in the entire nation worthy of any endorsements 2:56!
Look no further than all the democrat strongholds like Baltimore City, Detroit, Chicago, the list is endless.
What all these places have in common are that they are cesspools of crime and poverty all thanks to the democrats.
My standards are a heck of a lot higher than all democrats and if yours aren't then that's a darn shame you have such low standards and expectations. You are all that is wrong with the country.
You settle for anything and accept mediocrity.
I hope you aren't a parent because with parents like you a child doesn't need enemies.
The mess the democrats have left for the children is shameful!

To 2:56 Poster that said not one democratic candidate - what gives?

I cannot imagine you finding much solace around Wicomico - you would be much better served to click off (located on the top right corner) and Google - Aljazeera. You'll probably find yourself in 'like company' at that website.

This is a fine slate of new candidates. I couldn't agree with you more.

I tried to press for everyone of them twice at the polling booth. I would have pressed more than that if I could.

I really like this kind of coverage to. It makes me feel as though I'm young again.
