Hoping to avoid waiting in line to vote this November?

Move to Alaska. The Government Accountability Office released a report on wait times for voters. It found that in 2012, Alaskans waited an average of 1.4 minutes to vote.

Who has it the worst?

Floridians, who waited from 25 to 43 minutes. Maryland and Virginia also top the list of longest waits, with about 12 percent of those voters waiting an hour or more.

The good news?

GAO estimates that 78 percent of local jurisdictions don't have waits it considers too long.

BooHoo, we have to wait to vote. What a shame we even speak of this. Many countries have NO SAY and many countries risk their lives to vote. Why are we so soft in this nation? It wasn't like this in the beginning.

What irks me the most are the number of people who should and could vote, but have become complacent and lazy and use every excuse in the book stay home and then swear it does no good to vote and continue to complain about the outcome. REALLY!!!

Hey 3;12
YOU ARE CORRECT WHEN THEY SAY IT DOES NO GOOD TO VOTE , AT LEAST NOW ANYWAY.
The elections are rigged and only see democrat votes.
It's over , just stay home and twiddle your thumbs , this is more productive.

Democrats voting 6 times are making the lines too long.

Scenario 1: Get up in the morning at 6 or 7 and get ready for work. Stop off at polling station on way to work. See long line and leave because you can't afford to be late for work. Get off work at 5 and stop off at polling station on way home and see long line. Feeling hungry and tired after long day at work and say the heck with this and head home. Never got around to voting that day.

Scenario 2: Sitting home watching tv and someone knocks on the door and offers you a 40 and some cash to go stand in line at the polling place and vote. Tell the person you aren't registered. That's ok just use these names.

Now you know why the outcome is what it is.

Thankfully they have begun to allow extended voting.

Early voting is the way to go. Lines are much shorter than on election day. I like to go on Saturday when I have more fee time.
