Did you see Greta on Fox about Playland in OC might have to close apparently Annapolis is comparing Playland to a casino and wants to tax as such.

Sounds ok!

Hey Joe, Why are you so anti-green energy? I've seen a giant one of these things up off off rt 50, next to Chesapeake College. It's cool looking, not an eye sore, and I've stopped and turned my engine off next to it and I can't hear any noise coming from it when it is operating. I've seen windmill farms in the hills of western PA, and again, no noise coming from them. I've seen them offshore from California, (as well as oil platforms), and the Californians don't have a problem with them. The wind is free, and those windmills in Somerset county will look a lot better than those old crabs shacks and crappy downtown area in Crisfield. Harnessing the wind makes as much sense as harnessing water power for electric, and those windmills cause much less ecological damage than building dams. What the heck is anyone trying to preserve in Crisfield.... poverty, blight, section 8 housing? That wind farm could be the BEST thing that has happened to Crisfield in the last 50 years.

1:33, Not clear why these are cost effective is one reason. If costs about $360,000 to install a turbine and saves $13,000 per year, then would take almost 28 years to recover costs. No information given on annual maintenance costs. What is the life expectancy of a wind turbine? That is when will it wear out and have to be replaced? Are they cost effective only because of a subsidy?
I would think that everyone including yourself if you are a thorough forward thinking person would be asking more questions instead of jumping blindly on this latest bandwagon.
You people need to start thinking about your own children and the future.

Personally I like wind TUNNEL technology better.Hard to believe how much non invasive electricity they produce.

Norman Conway and Jim Mathias are dangerous to the citizens of Maryland and should not be re-elected. Laura Mitchell and Josh Hastings both worked for their campaigns and they are both running for the Wicomico County Council. Laura Mitchell and Josh Hastings are dangerous themselves and should not be elected to the Wicomico County Council. Those two are very active in the Democrat Club and they hate anything that is conservative. That's why they are running for the County Council. It is the first move to take over the Council and ruin it like the Salisbury City Council. We can not afford to have another dysfunctional Council in Wicomico.

On November 4th Please Vote Republican

Wicomico County Executive
Bob Culver

Wicomico County Council
John Cannon
Matt Holloway
Marc Kilmer
Larry Dodd
Joe Holloway

3:54 PM you hit the nail on the head. Please vote for Carl Anderton, Charles Otto and Mike McDermott as well.

Why can't this be put up for a public vote. Let the citizens decide not the elected bozo puppets?

Norman and Jim Mathias have been grooming Josh Hastings now for several years. He has a serious knack for lying just like all Democrat politicians.

Josh Hastings attended my church service in Powellville a couple of weeks ago. He sat in the service and then he was asked if he wanted to speak. He went on to say that he was pro farmers and other things he thought you wanted to hear. After the service several people were talking to him and he said that he was an independent, but only filed to run as a Democrat.

The citizens ELECTED the "bozo puppets", as you call them, to represent them in matters of government, and this includes the permit and approval process. Vote them out if you don't like the job they are doing. Its called a representative government, and I don't know anyone that knows anything about political science that thinks we live in a pure democracy where everyone gets to vote on everything. Public input was allowed and considered on this project. Do you want some cheese with that "whine?"

You must be a loser Democrat who loves Norman Conway and Jim Mathias. Can we please have some Anal Ease because it really does hurt.

It seems to me that it is the democrats that are in the winners seats. That's what happens in Maryland when the people vote. And believe me, I don't vote democrat! Republicans don't have a say in this state. And if you need Anal Ease, it sounds like a personal problem. Solution: quit bending over.

The lifespan of a wind turbine is less than 20 years. The turbine at Chesapeake operates @ 16% and will never pay for itself. It cost taxpayers over $400,000 and produces less than $12,000 per year in electricity.
The turbine is currently broken but free spinning. It is leaking oil as evidenced by the big streak running down the tower.

Wind Turbines destroy the local environment and kill wildlife.
There is nothing green about it because it requires backup energy even when it is producing.
