Felton, DE – Troopers and emergency personnel are currently on the scene of an overturned truck on Sandtown Road with liquid debris spilled.
The incident occurred around 5:35 a.m. this morning as a 2005 Ford 6-wheeled tank truck (owned by George & Lynch Inc.) was traveling on eastbound on Sandtown Road when for unknown reasons, the 47 year old operator from Henderson, MD, lost control causing the loaded "water based TAC truck" to overturn and spill the liquid debris in the roadway and a ditch.
The operator, who was reportedly uninjured, refused any treatment at the scene. The investigation is on-going and no charges have been filed at this time.
Sandtown Road between Chandlers Road and Amsterdam Road is currently closed while officials from DNREC assist with the clean-up. DelDOT will advise when the roadway is re-opened and you can monitor that update by clicking on the attached link:

Another texting accident?
AS long as the driver is unhurt, it's just a pile of bent metal easily replaced.
