COREY RAMON SCHOOLFIELD CONVICTED OF POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS WITH THE INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE AND ILLEGLA POSSESSION OF A REGULATED FIREARM


PRESS RELEASE

On July 8, 2014, Corey Ramon Schoolfield, age 41, of Delmar, Maryland was convicted by a Wicomico County Circuit Court Judge of Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Heroin with the Intent to Distribute, three counts of Illegal Possession of a Regulated Firearm and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The charges against Schoolfield arose out of a Search and Seizure Warrant that was executed on November 20, 2013, at 8731 Barbara Ann Way, Apt. 304, Delmar, Maryland. Upon execution of the Warrant, Officers located in excess of 100 grams of cocaine, over a half a gram of heroin, a loaded Glock 27 handgun, and $13,000.00 in U.S. currency. Sentencing has been deferred to a later date.

Wicomico County State’s Attorney Matthew A. Maciarello commended the Wicomico County Narcotics Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration for their work in the investigation and prosecution of this case. Mr. Maciarello also thanked Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Patrizia J. Coletta who prosecuted the case.
