When this mission is complete, how much remains in ORBIT? Will this be safely returned to Earth in it's entirety or will that which is not providing an actual function be added to the space junkyard? Does NASA have any future plans to eliminate space junk that has no function whatsoever from Earths orbit?
8:21 to answer your question, no. NASA has no plan. However, SpaceX is currently working on a reusable rocket and have had success with it. Our gov't doesn't want to use it, though. It's also much cheaper to ship supplies to to the space station. It cost one tenth of the current price.
