Too bad Salisbury is still decades behind in their mentality

(NaturalNews) Citing high costs that continually raise water prices for local customers, the Board of Aldermen in Buffalo, Missouri, a small town just north of Springfield, recently made the decision to stop fluoridating the public water supply. Members of the board explained that transporting fluoride chemicals is damaging city equipment and trucks, not to mention water pipes that corrode as a result of fluoride exposure.

The decision came after the health department in Dallas County, where the town is located, sent notification that it would no longer subsidize the costs associated with providing the fluoride and replacing damaged equipment. The department had previously covered half of the costs associated with the town's fluoride program, paying up to $1,000 per year to bring in the chemicals.

In April 2000, Buffalo residents voted to begin adding fluoride to the town's water. A few years later, in December 2003, the board determined that the program wasn't working and was too expensive. It agreed to end it once existing fluoride supplies were depleted. That decision was quickly reversed following a vote by the town's mayor, as well as an agreement by the health department to cover some of the costs. However, now that these subsidies have stopped, the fluoridation program will cease.

"It's an acid and it eats the pipes," stated a city engineer from the city of Union, outside St. Louis, about the nature of fluoride. Like Buffalo, Union's Board of Aldermen recently voted 7-1 to end fluoridation after injection equipment was destroyed by its use. "Employees are handling it and they don't want to be."

Flouride has been one of the greatest things ever done for public health. Too bad these stories are still coming out that have no basis in science

This article also does not want vaccinations.. and polio, small pox were so much fun to have decades ago.....Let's go back to millions dying and not able to walk!

The problem with mass fluoridation is that you can not control the dosage.
Government is poisoning the entire populace and can not control how much a person consumes in a day.
All because a very small segment of the population could not teach their children to properly brush their teeth.
This was one of the first experiments of big pharma on forced mass medicating, the flu shot and hpv shots are other examples.
And sheeple lap it up and flock to the lines.

Floride is in your toothpaste and should not be in your water.
Ever read the "directions" on the toothpaste tube... do not swallow... ever wonder why?
Sadly uninformed.

10;27 you are a liar, the article does not even touch on those subjects.

10:25 AM are you that stupid?

Clearly you know nothing...

Fluoride maybe great for our damned teeth but there is PROOF and Science PROOF AT THAT, that shows it lowers your immune system...

SO tell me MR. I know it all 10:25 AM: if fluoride is not poison then why the fuck does it have a big giant skull and bones on the bag and says keep away from eyes and to not touch with bare skin? Why would a waste water worker need gloves to pure this shit into the water? also, why would the pipes have to be replaced after 2 years when most pipes left alone last 10 or more years?

IT is a shame that you're a fucking retard and won't educate yourself... you must be a product of common core?

Let's see.
Damages the thyroid leading to uncontrolled weight gain.
Damages sperm count leading to clinical sterility.
Slows neuron firing rates and memory function.
Weakens immune system.
Fluoride is a product of fluorine. The single most corrosive element in the universe. The gas form will cause steel to burn, or any other substance.
And you want to drink this stuff? I'll stick to distilled water.

fluoride is bad. period. like someone said earlier; it's in our toothpaste and that's enough.

the leaders of these communities are very wise. wish ours were the same.

now tell us how you really feel lol

If drinking water is purified using distillation, the resulting water is cleaner and more pure than before. The water is safe to drink. The disadvantage to drinking this water is that most of the natural minerals in the water are gone. If these minerals are desirable (e.g., calcium, magnesium, iron), the distilled water might be considered inferior to mineral water or spring water. On the other hand, if the initial water contained trace amounts of toxic organic compounds or heavy metals, you might want to drink distilled water rather than the source water

I don't want any vaccines either, or flu shots for that matter. They may have been a good thing in the past, but todays vaccines do more harm than good. They are maiming and killing people, mainly children, by mixing various vaccines together. I'll take my chances.

On a side note, one has an 8% chance of beating cancer with chemo and an 27% chance of beating cancer if they do nothing. I will take my chances on doing nothing rather than putting poisons (chemo) in my body with such a low success rate.

And the way they formulate success from chemo is if you live 5 years past treatment. No thanks.

Excuse me, but cancer isn't exactly the topic at hand. No one is advocating whether or not to use flouride to beat a disease. Get off your liberal hippy horse.

no kidding einstein. that's why it was called a side note. but being this IS a health convo, it is related. what the heck is a liberal hippy horse? maybe you have ingested too much fluoride?

AND, here is an example of WHY this area is so far behind the rest of the WORLD. Comprehension and dissemination of information is lacking in so many people here unless it is related to chickens, pumpkin chunkin, pickups with big tires or having sex with your cousin.

Bet you don't care about fluoride because you don't have teeth.

3:33, is my body or yours for that matter deficient in fluoride? the answer, in case you don't understand this question is NO. calcium, my friend, calcium. this is what makes our bones (teeth) strong, as well as vitamin D3...

fluoride, me dear pot head, is said to prevent cavities in teeth. calcium is a whole another mineral. I am not an advocate for fluoride, or dimwits. but thanks for your limited input. You can now join 118 on the couch.

Glad to see all the highly educated folks are chiming in on this issue.

Thanks to all of the above comments. Now I know why we're decades behind.

Maybe this why so many people have summer teeth on the shore….some are there and some are not!

I get the summer joke, but billy bob teeth? Is this a form of white ebonics?

Sorry, sometimes it is really hard to differentiate between shore humor and the actual intelligence levels of some. Not referring to you of course.
