According the the 2010 Cenus there are just over 100,000 people living in wicomico county and just over 30,000 of them live in Salisbury. What I find funny here is that of the 221 crimes committed in the county during the month of March, 169 of them were in Salisbury. Only 52 were outside of Salisbury. That's 76.5% of all the crime committed last month was committed in Salisbury. Now yes I understand that many more work in Salisbury during the day so that skews the results a bit but still 76.5% for an area that only makes up 33% of the population. Did you see how many of those crimes were committed on the "West side" of Salisbury, WOW!!!

It's painfully obvious why those who can have moved out to the surrounding towns. With all the low income housing that's going on Salisbury is becoming a Mecca for the uneducated and lazy, which will only increase the violence and crime statistics. In a matter of 25yrs Salisbury has gone from a town people moved to in order to raise their kids to a town people leave when they have kids.
