The Maryland State Police Has Enacted The Snow Emergency Plan for Worcester County.

Worcester County Sheriff's Office
The Maryland State Police has enacted the Snow Emergency Plan for Worcester County. This plan means that any disabled vehicles will be removed from roadways immediately and that vehicles must utilize snow tire chains, or have a vehicle equipped with snow rated tires(must tires are now rated for snow). In other words if you don't need to go out, stay indoors and allow the Highway crews to do the difficult job of clearing the roadways. Most of this county is seeing 4-6 inches with snow still falling and with roadways getting colder, the potential for icing over bridges and roads increase. If you have to leave for work, please let your loved one know you have arrived. Allow extra time getting to work. The commute to work will be slow going tomorrow for some of us. At this time, no word on Schools.
